A little background on warhammer and miniature wargaming in general.

It is one of the last unapologetically male spaces. Women are a rarity, more rare than with dungeons and dragons. This is for several reasons.

-Games Workshop, the company that makes it, rarely releases female models.
    – The price of models, paints, books, is extremely high. It can cost $60 plus for just 5 plastic models.
    – The rules are massively complex.
    – It’s about war and not much else.
    – Half the guys who do it are autistic.
    – It’s a male bonding thing over a beer. Most the guys would rather the girls p~~~ off.
    – You have to sit down and paint each model yourself, and it takes time to get good. Guys who can paint masterfully get far more attention than doe eyed beginner gamer girl.

Now there’s a bunch of feminist articles about trying to make it female “inclusive”.

The Gender Gap in Warhammer 40K: A Girl’s Struggle to Battle with Fabulous Eldar

Quote: I have also had many people say that my colors of purple and yellow will look awesome on my Eldar and that my beginning paint jobs are pretty cool.

She’s a total beginner in this space, yet…

In the world of the game itself, I also question if there’s a gender gap.

I want equality in this hobby. I want to be treated for my level of skill, not for my body parts. I want respect from fellow hobbyists. I want more women to feel comfortable embracing this hobby that they’ve been pushed away from. I can only hope that many shop keepers and staff feel the same way and encourage their players to be more welcoming.

This woman ain’t even started, yet I want I want I want.

I’m a player, a Space Marine player who demands to be represented the same way that men have. Why should I have to buy models from Privateer Press and Victoria Miniatures then alter and sculpt them at an extremely high cost to be properly represented in 40K miniatures games?

Yeah, WHY should I, owner of a vagina, have to convert my models and make the effort? You should change the entire background of your most profitable army to suit ME! I demand it!!

Everywhere I turn, be it a Rogue Trader RPG Arch-Militant or a Dark Heresy RPG Inquisitor or an Adeptas Sororitas or an Imperial Commissar, the women that are depicted by Games Workshop are on the whole sexualized. Should I just be happy that we are depicted at all? I don’t believe so.

I was sitting next to a friend watching him paint Space Marine models between chapters. It was at that point that I noticed he didn’t have any women in his army so I asked him why.

What about us sisters, or those who are not cisgendered?

    Next comes the creep shaming!
    From her comments, her words:

I bailed on a D&D campaign halfway through because the DM was a f~~~ing creep towards both myself and the other lady player.

And how I felt – violated and hurt – is frankly more important than male fee-fees being hurt when I call them out.

Actually, I HAD considered him my friend and actually that guy is f~~~ing creepy looking, too.

The answer is really simple, to be brutally honest. The answer is you- women avoid this game like the plague because of you.

When you smell like a f~~~ing pile of s~~~ for Christ’s sake take a bath once a week goddamn- that’s why women don’t play this game.
When you model G-cup t~~~ on your Daemonettes and think it’s funny- that’s why women don’t play this game.

Last is this male feminist cuck who’s just pussybegging. So I won’t quote him.

    Well just one:
Obviously, it’s possible that your entire Space Marines Chapter identifies as women, but since we can’t ask the models how they identify, we have to base it on what the model looks like, and how the background is written.

    WTF.

Why not start their own WH or D and D clubs? Away from all the sexist men?

Lets face it, women just complain and nag constantly about anything.
No wonder they are so unhappy in their lives.

I have played WH40K for decades. I can remember fighting a girl at the largest national club tournament. She sas happy to be included and didn’t whine like this c~~~ does. Also…

40K is about MONK/KNIGHTS IN SPACE. What she wants doesn’t matter. IT IS BETTER TO DIE FOR THE EMPEROR THEN TO LIVE FOR YOURSELF!!!

This ought to be good. Selfish c~~~s versus greedy c~~~s.

-Games Workshop, the company that makes it, rarely releases female models.

I thought it was canon that half the imperial guard figures were female. You just can’t tell under the uniforms. Also IG die too quickly for it to matter.

Also half the eldar figures are female, too. You just can’t tell because, well, they’re all girly gay space fairy eldar. The same goes for squats (if you don’t know what I’m talking about you’re too young), except coming from the other direction. All squats are / were bearded badasses.

In fact the only army list I can think of that are specifically one sex are the Space Marines (male) and the Sisters of Battle (female). Maybe the tyrranids too, but who the f~~~ knows with ‘nids?

    Also ork cheerleaders.

    – The price of models, paints, books, is extremely high. It can cost $60 plus for just 5 plastic models.

It didn’t used to be that way, but, well, games workshop are greedy c~~~s. Greedy greedy c~~~s.

    – The rules are massively complex.

And they update them every fifteen minutes, often without playtesting, to force you to buy new books over and over and over. And all new expensive feincast miniatures to go with the new lists. Rinse repeat until the market is completely destroyed.

    – It’s about war and not much else.

It’s called WARhammer for a reason. FluffyKittenHammer is two aisles over.

    – Half the guys who do it are autistic.

Only half? Meanwhile all of them have wayyyy too much disposable income. I mean who can afford this s~~~?

I want more women to feel comfortable embracing this hobby that they’ve been pushed away from.

Who the f~~~ does she think she’s kidding? Games workshop has never pushed away a wallet of any gender. Ever.

I’m a player, a Space Marine player who demands to be represented the same way that men have. Why should I have to buy models from Privateer Press and Victoria Miniatures then alter and sculpt them at an extremely high cost to be properly represented in 40K miniatures games?

BECAUSE THAT’S THE INDUSTRY’S ENTIRE F~~~ING BUSINESS MODEL.

Everybody into the hobby has to do that s~~~. That’s what it’s all about. That and shoveling money into GW’s pockets as quickly as possible. Large bills only please.

Why should women be treated any different?

Everywhere I turn, be it a Rogue Trader RPG Arch-Militant or a Dark Heresy RPG Inquisitor or an Adeptas Sororitas or an Imperial Commissar, the women that are depicted by Games Workshop are on the whole sexualized.

Bitch doesn’t know s~~~ about warhammer. Or what “sexualized” means. Sexualized? In a universe where sexualized is EVIL?

And of course there are the female-but-you-wouldn’t-know-it imperial guardsmen and eldar and squats and tyrranids. And do I have to post the ork cheerleader again? This ain’t sexy.

I was sitting next to a friend watching him paint Space Marine models between chapters. It was at that point that I noticed he didn’t have any women in his army so I asked him why.

Because they’re f~~~ing spess muhreens. This stupid as s~~~ bitch claims to be into warhammer but doesn’t know that space marines, the flagship army list of the entire business, are meant to represent a very specific hyper-masculine überwarrior macho man sci-fi trope to the point of being satire?

F~~~ing do your f~~~ing homework, c~~~. That’s why warhammer players don’t f~~~ing respect women who jump right in without paying their f~~~ing dues. They’re idiots who know nothing and yet still shrilly think their opinion f~~~ing matters.

Bitches never pay their f~~~ing dues.

f~~~ing entitled bitches. I’ve always believed in life that if you are new to something or a group then YOU adapt to THEM

Holy s~~~, get over yourself you stupid c~~~.

Feminism is a movement where opinions are presented as facts and emotions are presented as evidence.

I’ve had the same problem. All they want is attention.
The game=world means nothing to them.

There will be a period of them using every f##king thing to get us riled up.When that fails they go away – hopefully to play in traffic.

If they are identified, we should collectively refuse to interact. Any guy helping them should be given the same treatment.

If they come in on their own in an FPS, kill them off repeatedly until the pain is relieved.

Guys this is OUR space – let’s keep out the garbage.

    Peace.
