I love how the concept of financial abortion was regarded as so ridiculous that the speaker himself had to lay down the seriousness of his intent in mooting it.

The guy misses it by one step though at the end. He said that he might think about marriage if the laws change. He stupid in that area. You don’t get divorced under the laws you got married under. If the laws get changed once, they can get changed again.

Would I start a business with a partner when the deal is I have to cough up 100% of the initial investment, work more hours, and at any time they can cash out 50% of the net worth of the business and walk away? If you said those exact contract terms to a woman, and asked them to sign that contract, none would.

Perhaps in the past it was unfair that woman had a limited coarse of action. Hard to get work to support themselves, expectation to fulfill a traditional role.

The thing is even if they changed the laws at this point, the women are still trash. I don’t want to marry a post wall tatted up land whale who fell off the carousel whether the current laws were tilted in her favor or mine, single is preferable either way.
