Observations aside about the modern feminists desire to establish dominion over those that have elevated her out of the mud hut, does it not seem that the method in which they seek preeminence has become a case of life imitating art.

The book by Harrison Bergeron, by Kurt Vonnegut, seem to illustrate the feminine desire of equality by bringing men down to, if no their level, then a level that makes them more tractable.

For those of you that are not familiar with the book, see this link.

I have been drinking and invite debate.

That follows the basic Marxist Socialist idea in general. Notice how First World Western countries are flooded with third worlders but those third worlders never adapt or move upwards? In fact they introduce laws to bring us down to their level. That is how Socialists see equality, a degradation of the better society rather than an improvement of the lesser one.

It’s like the other typical double standards, Leftists carry on about Minority Rights and then when the Minority Grows it switches to Majority Rights again because all of a sudden that majority suits them.

I am not a politically astute person in so far as a discussion of socialism or marxism (lower case M intentional)..

The general idea that I get from those ideologies is that the empowerment of the individual is achieved through the persecution, execution, or the enslavement of the intellectual class. AKA, people that no more than the other guy. The downtrodden knows nothing more than they want the intellectual’s ‘hard earned’, their ability to say something that is listened to, or their office. This desire is without regard to individual ability, education.

I agree that there has been patronage of the “huddled masses”. Not just to provide succor, but continued patronage because ‘they’ are down trodden. Because of this, they, and their children, and grandchildren need to be ‘looked after’. This ‘looking after’ ensured continued votes, and therefore, continued power.

We may be saying the same thing but using different words.

The ‘downtrodden’ in this instance are those that have an internal reproductive anatomy. They need to be continually oppressed, otherwise their political power base evaporates.

The comparison with Harrison Bergeron is even more relevant in that the oppressors (men) must be policed in order to demonstrate that we require policing. Our very existence implies masculine hegemony. Yadda, yadda, yadda.

Kurt Vonnegut had a way with words, didn’t he?

It wasn’t just feminism, but the whole Social Justice Warrior camp overall that it was about. Everyone HAD to be equal in that dystopian United States. It was trying to assure equal outcomes, by handicapping the ability to produce and create. I say this by putting feminism in the Social Justice camp, although I don’t believe all forms of Social Justice are feminism.
