I like to remind my Brothers not to get arrogant and think they can’t be replaced.

The new owner of the tool truck franchise that comes to the pretzel factory is a female.
The person selling tools, the tool expert is a female.

Every time I call my 401k company to make changes, the licensed brokers are always females.

At the truck stop I see an occasional female trucker.

I get it , some have a negative attitude about college but men need to make sure they have a plan. Something.

You need to have a skill or plan. Something.

There aren’t many Man jobs left.

All of the good factory jobs are gone.

Some can, a lot are just good at making it seem that way, by selling themselves well and through networking.

I’ve noticed the same thing, Jan. But I think women taking jobs that traditionally belong to men is a small part of a much bigger problem — the problem of a growing population who want good jobs combined with a global economy that’s in decline.

Someone in the forums suggested a book by economist Guy Standing called “The Precariat.” I watched a number of his public presentations on Youtube, and was blown away by how his thesis covered the world of work that we were born into.

If you’ve not read him yet, I highly recommend you do. He will paint a very clear picture for you how globalism has purposely devalued both physical and intellectual labor. So much so that it’s created an entirely new economic class he calls, “The Precariat.”

I don’t agree with his solution to the problems he presents (basic income), but the rest of his analysis is spot on and a real eye opener.

Jan, I believe what you’re noticing is more women in the workforce. Of course there are going to be females venturing into areas that women in the past have not ventured into. That’s to be expected as it becomes more normal for women to do so. As far as your idea that men can be replaced … I want you to imagine every man quitting their job tomorrow morning. Goodbye air travel, goodbye garbage pickup, goodbye oil changes, goodbye mechanics, goodbye maintenance, goodbye factory’s, goodbye distrubution centers, goodbye retail stores because 90% of the delivery trucks didn’t show up. Goodbye to the defense of the country because most the military just vanished. The list could go on …

It’s not so much that women CAN’T so the work, it’s that they either don’t want to or they don’t do it as well as men. Ever notice how women want a cushy office job in the air conditioning? Of course you can be replaced, that’s why you make yourself so good that replacing you will hurt the company very badly.

Do a job that is stressful, do a job that women won’t do. There will always be trades, and most women outright refuse to do that s~~~. As time goes on, the men will be seen as the better workers that they are, and women will be left behind.

There have always been a small number of women who realise all that is holding them back is in their head, and go for their dreams like men. One area they do it is sport, another is business.

But the majority are indoctrinated to believe they can’t get ahead because patriarchy blah blah blah, so better and easier to go on welfare. Some would say this plays to their nature.

You can’t blame your way to success. You can’t victim your way to success. Feminism keeps women down.

You only have to look at all the motivational stuff on Youtube – it’s all by men. There is the occasional woman who gets it – which doesn’t frighten or bother me personally, good for her – but she is the exception. Men, by nature, are risk takers, so they are the ones who will succeed entrepreneurially.

I don’t mean this as a criticism Jan, but if you are bothered by a woman owning a tool truck, let it inspire you to start your own business. Start your own pretzel factory, fill it with women on minimum pay, laugh all the way to the bank while you get rich off their sweat and use your money to become a venture capitalist and support other men’s ideas.
