Hey there. First let me introduce myself in short (i will write a proper introduction story later). I’m a 19 year old young man living in Slovakia (its that other part of former Czechoslovakia, incase you are confused), at this time coming here to finally share himself with fellow men after lurking around the website and forums for a few months. And as such, i would like to start out with a post about teachers, specifically female ones. Also, you can call me Yuri, or Joe if you will, all my friends do.

Over the years of schooling, the people that p~~~ed me off the most we’re not my classmates which more often than not bullied me, but my teachers. I, just like pretty much everyone here was always told that we should listen to our teachers, take their word as gospel and never talk back, never question them and always give them respect. And it seems to me that this over the generations has gone to the head of teachers, funnily enough only female ones.

Because male teachers, the few that i had? For the most part, they were great. They knew how to handle my classmates and i, especially during High School when I was studying electrotechnics (the Slovakian education system works a bit differently, ill explain later). Lets for example look at how two different teachers that i knew tried to get us to respect them. Let me paint the scene: High School in Slovakia, first year. Given the field of study my school is dominated by male students, so deep voices and cracking voices fill the halls all day. The majority are 15 years of age when we start, but the odd ones like me are already 16 because i got held back a year in Kindergarden.

We walk in to our first hour of Slovak Language & Literature, and we get what i feared and expected: A woman in her early 50’s with saggy skin, baggy eyes, a defeated and yet self important look on her face and a voice so monotone and yet harrowing that it now narrates the Twillight saga in my own personal circle of Hell itself. So basically, your average female teacher. Her way of teaching, if you can even call it that sarcastically was to spend 35 minutes of our 45 minutes long classes to talk down to us. Telling us all about how stupid, unimportant, helpless, annoying little man children we are while talking about herself and very much presenting herself as this great intellegent bringer of knowledge and guidance that deserves respect from all of us because she has been teaching for 30 years now and as such we should walk into that room every time ready to kiss her ass. I’m sorry, but all i hear is “I’m a narcisstic, unimportant desperate female that has spent her entire life standing in a classroom reading the same material to students.” Her classes got even worse, given that she spent most of the time lecturing us about how great she is we always had about 10 minutes for actual studies. In theory that is. In practice, she would hold us up for 10-15 minutes at a time after recess had started, making us miss other classes, chances to eat or go for a p~~~. Her reasoning? ” The bell is only a suggestion for the teacher to end the class, it doesnt mean that it actually ended.” NO BITCH, IT MEANS THAT YOUR TIME FOR THE DAY IS OVER AND YOU ARE SUPPOSED TO SHUT YOUR TRAP AND LET US GO. This wasn’t even a rare occurence, it happened every single class with her. You might say that i am blowing things out of proportion here.

My good men, with every fibre of your being, i need you to understand this: it was this bad, and it was like this pretty much everywhere you went. The even s~~~tier part is that these women aren’t aware of their shortcomings. They think they are actually doing a good job teaching this way. The hag i described above actually thinks she “got us to discuss and think”, ofcourse missing the fact that a discussion involves two people talking as equals, not a single post-Wall woman with a God complex having a monolouge. It was no better with other subjects. My German teacher? Another 50+ year old woman that thought of her subject as the holy grail, worse yet, she constantly spend some time pushing her Liberal, pro-EU propaganda on us. Even when she was supposed to be teaching us Ethicality she spent it preaching the Bible, making us sing the anthem of the Union and pushing more s~~~ on us. The English teacher? Not as bad, didnt really teach anything. Only talked about her trips and vacations. Next, KeyMaster might want to skip the next one, or he might get a stroke. Electrotechnics and C++/HTML programming was taught by another, 50+ year old hag. This one was a real piece of work. Bitter because she never got married and never had children. Her style of teaching us C++ harrows me to this day.

It disgusted me to the point that i havent touched it since, which is sad as i was really into it before that. Try imagine a shouty drill seargant throwing you a real bomb and telling you to defuse it, and expecting you to do it because he showed you how to cut a wire by writing it up on a blackboard.

Now male teachers always did things differently. My favorite was probably my CISCO Networking teacher. Lets call him Mr. Awesome. To say he knew how to do things is an understatement. He didnt demand respect, he earned it. He adressed us as Misters, and we did it back too. He didn’t call us his students, but collegues. Remember, we’re all 15/16 years of age, so he didn’t actually have any obligation to do it. But he did. He didn’t force us to study or pay attention. In the begining he told us “If you study and pay attention to me, is up to you. What you will know is also up to you. As long as you are not disruptive, you can do what you want.” And he kept his promise. We could watch Twitch.tv streams if we wanted to and he wouldn’t budge an eye. And yet all of us paid attention and listened to him, maybe only taking a peek at a stream or gaming article from time to time.

The others were much like him. Even the most boring ones we didn’t mind, because at least they didn’t think of us as cattle. We could talk to them, have actual discussions about what interested us, about life, about politics, about our thoughts and opinions. Even such a little thing as adressing me as “Mr. Yuri” made me respect them even more. Those old women talked down upon me and called me by my

first name as if i were a little boy even after i legally reached adulthood and as such became their equal under the law. No, these bitches always demanded respect and never gave any back. The most frustrating thing was that i couldn’t talk back. Not that i didn’t know how to, but because it is illegal. It is enough for a teacher to say that you insulted her and you will be without a means of study by the next day. So many times i just wanted to stand up and shout “Shut your old smelly trap and sit the f~~~ down woman. You walk into this room and stand there demanding respect and yet have nothing to show for it. Are you a published novelist? Are you a Nobel Prize winner? Are you a highly demanded expert on your subject? Have you done ANYTHING in your life other than stand and yell at young men? Make no mistake woman, you are the most unimportant person in this room, for you have no practical use. We here can go on to become electrotechnicians, programmers, web developers, hardware technicians. So if i were you i’d shiver and hope that in a few years time we won’t charge you extra if we come around to wire up your central heating unit.” But i didnt…until two months back when one day i just said “Enough is enough.” and walked out of the classroom, handed in a letter stating that

i am puting my studies on hold and went on my way.

More to the point: those women do not realize how unimportant and unsignificant they are in the Information age. Their job can be done just as well if not better by a low-cost, low-end computer with a internet connection. Because i and countless other young men have learned more by browsing trough the net, reading interesting scientific articles and having discussions with others and by watching videos than i have in school, listening to them.

I was told that i am a “problematic student” in History class because i refused to write down notes that only amounted to little more than a few uninteresting dates, and yet i have no problems watching a 7 hour documentary on Pearl Harbor, or read Leonardo DaVinci’s biography, or listen to how millitary technology has changed over the years, or read about the importance of historic events.  In short what i wanted to say with this paragraph: teachers should be happy they still have a job to do, because if it were up to me, i’d put into effect school reforms that would rustle their jimmies to no end.

Phew, that was a rant alright. I would be more than happy if all of you could share stories from your school years and state your opinion.

Just a note: apologies for the formatting, it seems that pre-writing it was a mistake afterall. Will know better the next time.

Funny enough, out of the few teachers I’ve actually liked during my school days most of them were female. It was mainly because they were encouraging and actually gave a s~~~ and were on the same page with me on the danger of the conformity trap that most young people fall into. I was a bit of an outsider and actually thought for myself and they showed me that this wasn’t a bad thing.

The best teacher I ever had was my Geography teacher.  Everyone paid attention and did their work.  Nobody got a bad grade.  He always joked around, made up laugh and treated us with respect.  With female teachers they were useless.  Boring, picking on me and s~~~.  I reported one teacher to the guidance counselor to straighten her ass.  She taught the most useless class.

    Hi Yuri and welcome,

Those are some horrible teachers. In my own experience at least I never saw much of a difference between male and female teachers. I had both great and bad from both genders. It really comes down to whether they care and are passionate about teaching their subject. There is a saying “Those that can not do, teach”. You were right in thinking those hags had over inflated egos.

In high school I’m always hearing sexist comments from my teacher… “If the hand writing is sloppy we will know its a  boys *Hahahaha* ”
“and just like in the book the pig peed on the other ones plans to mark his territory like guys do” and she will talk to girls about there crushes and things instead of teaching us.. and is ALWAYS more attentive to female students.
