This is just getting painful. Some posters are claiming the Sony is deleting negative comments and are paying bots to up vote the film.

I believe it. Sony cannot afford a $154 million flop. The feminists can not afford to have the ultimate girl power film tank. I smell Oscar!!!

To be expected. They know they shouldn’t have even agreed to making this. Imagine being SONY and someone brings you a script for an “all-female ghostbusters” which should be a “girl power” movie. It’s a bad idea right out of the gate.

The original wasn’t even a “man-power” movie!

Ghostbusters only worked (and was funny) because they knew they were losers. The whole idea was a flop as part of the story. They didn’t make these guys out to be “so fabulous” and “man-power”. They were failure scientists, bad at what they do, fired from their jobs, broke, unsure of where they were headed, con-artists and clueless.

Even Sigourney Weaver treated Lewis and Venkman like they were losers and the ultimate joke. The opening scene is Bill Murray conducting a psyche evaluation and staging the results to get with a pretty girl.

Nobody took them seriously and they didn’t even take themselves seriously. They didn’t even believe they could pull it off!

And now they try it with a female cast with one saying to the other “nobody is better at quantum physics than you”.

The punchline of the trailer is one of them screaming at and slapping her colleague. That’s why it doesn’t work. Venkman didn’t beat the s~~~ out of Moranis when he was possessed. They offered him some coffee – which is 100 times funnier.

You can’t put that facial expressions into a script.
It’s impossible.

I don’t see how they can save it. 5 to 2, thumbs down on it. If Borat guy’s new film bombed, this isn’t gonna even get off the ground. Pump all you want, nobody is going to watch this. I have as much interest in this as I do the revamped “Supergirl” show. The only reason I know that even exists is because I think I saw an ad for it during the Daytona 500 or Superbowl.
