I had this friend from a few years back. I was never honest with her how I felt and continued to just be friends with her.
I became friends with her SO as well. I had basically cut them off from my life for the past few years because I woke up and realized how foolish I had been. Also out of respect for him. I was an emotional tampon for her and It felt wrong after several events involving him.
Now she contacts me with this annoying update about how great life is. At the same time making herself sound like a victim at the end of message.
What am I dealing with here? Someone who genuinely wants to be friends? Or something else.

Here is some advice. If you ever try to make friends with women make sure you are not attracted to some of them. That way if one of them goes awalt and they will, you can drop them.
