Carol Burnette had a skit.. The Man Hater. An office bitch.Classic.

    Mrs. Wiggins?

As a kid I loved that show. Carol’s monologue always set the tone. She was funny, so likable. They don’t seem to make em like that anymore.

And the supporting cast – some of the Tim Conway/Harvey Korman scenes were pure brilliance!

She also was great to work for. A class act. Gota give credit where credit is due.All to rare unfortunatly.

Correction: all the modern female “comedians” promoted by the corporate media are trash. You will almost never see an actually humorous woman on corporate media. Why? Well have you ever heard the expression: “It’s funny because it’s true”? The last thing the corporate media want to broadcast is the truth. They have an agenda to promote, and a feminist agenda at that, and feminism isn’t f~~~ing funny.

Precisely why Amy Shamu’s last comedy special tanked. The whole being a whore shtick doesn’t age well.

Man, just the other day I was watching a stand up comedy special with Amy Schumer on Netflix with my mom, and Amy Schumer even went as far as to bring up how smelly her(amy) vagina is, like it is some sort of comedy and even my mom could not handle to watch amy’s comedy anymore after we were only like 15 minutes in the the stand up comedy itself. Amy even went as far as to say that she became rich this past year because of her ‘talent’, and when I heard that, my jaw dropped. This world is rediculious!

But did you notice how she blamed everyone but herself for that?

That is why she isn’t funny.

Neither does stealing jokes. But that’s all she has: jokes she stole from other comedians and her fat smelly c~~~.

Don’t forget that hideous c~~~ Sarah Silverman

I thought Sarah was hot a decade ago until I saw her manly hands.

Now she’s just ugly because how much of a f~~~ing feminist she is. And because of her manly hands.

    Mrs. Wiggins?

Wiggins & Tudball was a different running sketch and first appeared about halfway through the show’s run. The “office bitch” was primarily from the early years and isn’t seen in syndication, not due to feminist shrieking but because of production rights.

IIRC, the first 4 or 5 years of the show had a co-producer with Burnett and her husband. That person hasn’t allowed syndication for whatever reason. The show ran 11 years from 1967 to 1978 but because the episodes from 1967 to about ’71 aren’t in syndication very few people have ever seen the early years or the running sketches featured then.

I think the major difference between comics like Carol Burnett, Lucille Ball, Eve Arden, Gracie Allen, and all the others of that era were that they were funny first and woman second. Those women had material, routines, sketches, and all the rest and worked on them.

You can contrast that with the current crop of female “comedians” who, instead of working on their craft, merely use the pussy pass. Most of their “humor” relies on shocking the audience into gasping “ZOMG! She says her c~~~ stinks!”.

Me too. It was “Must see TV” in our house during the 70s. My mother and sisters never missed it.

I bought the box set for my mother last year and was struck by how much I’d forgot about the show. The half hour syndicated version doesn’t do it justice. Not only are the first 4 or 5 years missing, but the all the musical numbers aren’t shown either. I’d simply forgotten about all those elaborate sing & dance numbers.

I pointed out to my ex once that I thought men are funnier than women. She went into a FIT, “What? But everyone says humor is one of my strongest qualities!!” I tried to explain to her that I meant IN GENERAL men are funnier, but you guys know what kind of uphill battle I had = TRYING TO EXPLAIN LOGIC TO A WOMAN

If humor was her strongest quality, I’d hate to know what her weaknesses were…

I love stand up comedy. Listen to them all the time during my daily commutes. There is not a single female one that I can recall at all that was worth mentioning.

The only ones that managed to get a chuckle or two out of me, as quoted by surfdude, were the ladies that were dykes.

This was way before I even know what I know now about female nature. It just is.

There’s no such thing as female comedy. It’s nothing more than whining in front of a microphone.

Aunt Esther: Fred, I'll have you know this body was blessed by Mother Nature!! Fred: Well, too bad your face was cursed by Father Time!

Men have the ability to turn their frustrations into great humor. Women don’t, they only have the ability to force their frustrations on everyone else.

The current bread of female comedians have yet to realize that comedy is based upon several elements:
    * A feeling of superiority: They are attempting to convert their own personal inferiority to the betters into a perception of superiority while hiding their shortcoming.
    * Observations of everyday life: Speaking of the Kardashians, Models, overseas trips are not everyday
    * Non Conformity: Their life’s are all about living like the Jones’s, following the herd, they cannot imagine any other life.
    * Imitation: Their imitations are so grossly exaggerated that the masses cannot realize the joke

Given that they can only generate laughter while using the same material is proof that they are not funny.

    “Female Comedian”?
Is this some kind of oxymoron???
    LMAO at the idea….

I'm a one man guy in the morning, the same in the after noon. A one man guy when the sun goes down, I whistle me a one man tune. I'm a one man guy, one man guy, and the one man is me. 👍🏼Thanks Loudon Wainwright for the wise words
