Glad you liked it. I love steel guitar in country music. I played that song for a girl who said she liked country and her response was “its a bit twangy”. Uhh no s~~~? That’s called steel guitar and it’s called country music. Keith Urban probably more up her ally or the florida Georgia line. ugh

I think thats a fretless Bass.

If you ever get the chance, look at a Steel up close. Theres like 7 pedals and 2 knee levers plus your hands with finger pics and bar. Its hugley complicated.

I met him one time as well as the number one party for the song without you that a friend of mine wrote for him. It’s interesting because a good friend of mine was his bass player before Gerry flowers and came into my band exactly after Keith. But I’ve still only met him that one time.

And his entire fan base is female practically so of course this song was chosen for that reason. He knows what side his bread is buttered on. To be honest, I’ve written tunes for the same business reasons that are pretty puke-worthy.

For me personally.. I have principles that don’t allow me to pedal believes or agendas that I am against. Whether its in a song or a group I associate with..

If I couldn’t make a living doing what I enjoy with out compromising my integrity, then I would find another way to make a living. And what I enjoy would be a hobby or Vocation that I enjoy on the side..I don’t have to give something up because its a tough competitive world. But I also don’t have to participate in a business that promotes an agenda that goes against all I believe in….

I’m not trying to tell anyone they shouldn’t do what they’re doing or how to do it..I am simply answering your question for me…
