Had a very interesting week.

Spent some time with the CAA (civil aviation auth) and also NATS (national air traffic service)

After the heat of exams and practical tests … it was play time.

23 guys … pilots, atc, ops, admin all down the pub.

We got on to … ehm .. women in aviation.

Well you can imagine ?

Anyway one guy who was the oldest … in a silent moments says:

We have 53% women atc in our place … and do you know why?

We were all silent … then he says:

Because they get paid for telling men what to do, when to do it…. and how to do it … and god help them if they don’t do it…

… just like my fking wife.

The thing is, he wasn’t joking … it was just his beaten soul crying out.

Bad enough they give the worst directions on earth and can’t read a map, but ATC? Don’t they realize you can’t just park and wait for them to sort things out!

Why do you think I’m going radio-free stealth ultralite? You don’t have to listen to them if you have no radios! It keeps em on their toes, especially when you nonchalantly buzz straight through the aerodrome!

True enough. Towers in my country are full of them, especially the military aerodromes for some reason.

Well as long the atc is doing his job right I could care less if it´s man or woman. What p~~~es me off is when other airmen go white-knighting every single time when they hear a female atc.

Like really?! You´ve been given clearance so readback and then stfu and quit blocking the frequency. You never hear this crap when the atc is a man.

Have you noticed the slight attitude change when a female atc is talking with a female pilot?

There are times when I can almost feel the frost … who is the boss here type thing.

Anyway … big autonomous testing going on with a B737 soon. Special airspace being set aside.

Autonomous not automatic. This fkr can think and make decisions.

Every GPS I have been using lately – I always switch it to a male voice to prevent a mindf~~~. A lot of times you can’t even do that.
The main reason I think women get away with so much manipulation of men – is because most school teachers are female – and we grow up accustomed to getting instructions from a woman without questioning.

Now that you mention it this happends almost everytime two females meet on the same frequency. I even remember two of them arguing about something totally irrelevant on one GA airfield with five other machines on the traffic circuit – great timing really.

Well sounds like Skynet is waking up finally. I wonder how´d the atcs deal with autonomous 737s flying around. That´d be pretty interesting to see.
