Currently watching Season2/Episode1. It’s getting tiring watching females be presented as good and males be presented as bad.
An awesome visionary guy took the group on his prepared for the apocalypse state of the art boat. There’s an obvious lack of supplies since it was not intended for +7 people. However, it will last them to their next destination, barely.
Our group sails near another group of 15+ people crammed into a small emergency boat (without any supplies), all shouting for help. Obviously if our group is to survive, they can’t save them (as the men point out). However, the women from our group are immediately presented as saints, strongly insisting that we should immediately save the other group, almost not taking no for an answer (despite it meaning that both groups will die, basically).
HOLD IT RIGHT THERE. WHAT? I mean.. WHAT?? Knowing the true nature of women, they will be the ones that will immediately and as remorselessly as possible dump the other group (to save themselves), yet they are once again presented as the more virtuous gender.
It’s just a little example of a subtle societal brainwashing I’m able to catch with my MGTOW knowledge.
Women = Good
Men = BadI didn’t see it quite like that. I viewed it as women making poor choices (as they often do) that lead to disaster. After all, it was the teenager girl talking on the radio revealing that they have a desalination unit as well as their approximate location to some bad dudes.
I love Strand’s response: “Let me explain the rules of the boat. Rule number one, it’s my boat. Rule number two, it is my boat. If there remains any confusion about rules one and two, I offer rule number three: It’s my goddamn boat.”
Reminded me of when my girlfriend was living with me and was bitching I wouldn’t let her decorate like she wanted. I reminded her that it was my goddam house, not hers.
"You don't know a woman till you have met her in divorce court."Hey @CPT Obvious, it could be interpreted like poor decision making as well, yes (which it very well is). However, I’d say that women rarely make such noble yet poor decisions as far as their immediate personal survival goes.
Remember Titanic? How women refused to get back to save their own men (let alone strangers) out of fear that their boats could be turned around. Well, that’s the real story right there.
And the teenage girl.. oh man, that was so stupid I couldn’t believe my eyes and ears.
PS: Strand’s awesome.
