One thing he detailed of empires is that they seem to have a life cycle of about 250 years and go through 6 stages.
I figure it is for America roughly:
Age of Pioneers is like from 1776-1846
    Age of Conquests from 1846-1918
    Age of Commerce from 1918-1950
    Age of Affluence from 1950-1970
    Age of Intellect from 1980-1995
    Age of Decadence 1995-present

All my life I've had doubts about who I am, where I belonged. Now I'm like the arrow that springs from the bow. No hesitation, no doubts. The path is clear. And what are you? Alive. Everything else is negotiable. Women have rights; men have responsibilities; MGTOW have freedom. Marriage is for chumps. If someone stands in the way of true justice, you simply walk up behind them and stab them in the heart-R'as al Ghul.

I have to admit, that the decadence period may be off a bit. The roaring 20’s were one period that at least in the larger cities really did have a great show.

The article is LONG LONG LONG, but it does bring out some very good points in history where an argument can be made that there is a pattern that is followed.

The last period seems to have run its course. There is no longer a period of real decadence that we experience as a whole here.

The hard hitting question to answer might be that the laws that we are subject to are there in place to stop the collapse of the system we have in the USA.

For example, if women are the only class that are protected, and the rich are the other class leaving a majority of the rest of us to suffer and pay for the protected, then the system will continue for a long time in this state without plunder.

It almost seems that if you take out the misery that we face in the USA or its ills, then the system (if it is correct to the hypothesis that you came to) is going to last for a long time.

It’s almost as if the we actually got to the point that where things ran properly, we would be in some kind of economic collapse that would weaken the USA as a whole.

So in order to avoid this kind of collapse, we need to have some problem or change of state in the American way of life so that the system keeps going to stave of the inevitable collapse.

As it stands now, most of the US workforce that DOES DO SOMETHING is VERY SMALL.

Skilled workers are not being valued for their skills. And if there was a shift of that, then the system that we have would come to a halt.

Almost as if we need the worthless to feel worth, so that they continue buying into the system.

I’m not sure if that the point of the article, or yours, but that is where it seems to be pointed to.

Please correct me if I am wrong, or on the wrong path here. Its a ton to read and absorb in a topic that I have little expertise in.

You are all alone. If you have been falsely accused of RAPE, DV, PLEASE let all men know about the people who did this. http://register-her.net/web/guest/home

That is an interesting interpretation. I still think we are in the decadence phase, though.

For example, if women are the only class that are protected, and the rich are the other class leaving a majority of the rest of us to suffer and pay for the protected, then the system will continue for a long time in this state without plunder.

That began fifty years ago with LBJ’s “guns and butter” phase. The “guns” being ramping the funding of the military industrial complex, and the “butter” was the creation of the modern welfare state.

Now the wheels are coming off of this con due to there being no money left to plunder to fund it. Instead, mostly debt is funding this mess and debt eventually leads to a worse collapse.

That is an interesting interpretation. I still think we are in the decadence phase, though.

Actually, the U.S. is leaving the decadence phase and entering the collapse phase that leads to change.

What is missed about the 2016 U.S. election is that most voters on all sides wanted some form of change. The only disagreement is what form of change that will be.

In the last year, the establishment whom wants the status quo is starting to collapse. There have been many retirements and some of the old guard whom want to stay are being removed during the primaries by members of their own party.

I suspect a war with N. Korea will be the Black Swan that brings about full collapse. That may be our Syracuse.

Good odds that there will be a nuclear war with N. Korea once the Paralympic Games and in Korea March 18. Major joint exercises will commence with South Korea after that and there are still 3 carrier groups in the area.

I suspect the game is afoot in the “Indo-Pacific” region. (Note that is a relatively new term “Indo-Pacific” being used frequently lately). Stuff stirred up fairly recently along Chinese-Indian border. Also some word has it that China has increased the number of troops near North Korea from 200,000 to about 500,000. Also, interesting move by Russia to put stealth fighters in Syria. I’m pretty sure ISIS doesn’t have stealth.

S~~~ could get real, real fast.

I disagree. I believe North Korea is a distraction.

There could be conflict in the South China Sea. But, the main issue is back to the Middle East, but not the dynamic most people are expecting.

While Russia, the U.S., and most Middle Eastern powers are caught up with Syria in the northwestern Middle East, China’s economic Silk Road Project is coming from to the Middle East from southeast.

China is already talking to a number of governments of Middle Eastern nations. The latest is the UAE: https://www.zerohedge.com/news/2018-02-27/gold-corridor-dubai-china-sought-china

By all accounts, China will likely not come as a conquer, but a peacemaker. If China plays the situation the way I expect they will, they will diplomatically push the influence by the U.S. and Russia out of the Middle East and use economic leverage to create a peace in the Middle East, all the while China will be quietly buying up the Middle East.

If anything happens to China’s officials in the Middle East, during these peacemaking overtures, the attackers look like the aggressors, not China.

Keep in mind that both the U.S. and Russia have cultural and religion ties to the Middle East. China has no such ties with the Middle East.

I am interesting to see how a major power with not ties to the Middle East will effect the political dynamic in the Middle East.

Don’t forget Africa… China is b~~~~ deep there.

Should be an interesting s~~~ show the first time a large number of Chinese get assaulted, kidnapped or killed in the ME or Africa.

Or will they even give a f~~~, and simply replace the ones killed?

I believe that might be a honey pot, where China was will use such actions against their personnel for the excuse to regime change those nations with their military.

Very true, the Chinese are investing big time in Africa, with the intent of exploitation, well, maybe some of the infrastructure will help serve some of Africa. Sadly, what the U.S./Israel did to Libya really damaged Africa’s future. Not only was Libya the most successful African country, but Gaddafi sought to unite and develop Africa in more positive ways. Can you imagine if the U.S. destabilized the greatest country on a different continent? Kinda shows you the respect the world has for Africa… Pretty s~~~ty in my book.

And I agree with Faust, we are in the collapse stage in the U.S., some are still in denial, but it is happening. The world increasingly despises the U.S., and despite what our Presidents say while campaigning they continue to be puppeted by the same interests once in office. We are spread thin with Military all around the world that costs big money, six trillion since 01. Now, you may think how does that hurt us? Well, since it is money we don’t have and it is printed and borrowed en mass, causing inflation, wages don’t keep up, everyone gets pushed down…The plane is heading straight towards the ground and nobody is attempting a change of course.
