Looking at the parallels between the Fahrenheit 451 world and our own.
In the novel Fahrenheit 451 we follow a male character Guy Montag on his journey out of a “blue pill society” and into a “red pill society”(his taking of the “red pill” is in the form of stealing then going on to read a book) if you have read the story then you no doubt see the similarities to MGTOW though in the novel it is more about an authoritarian government with intellectual crimes being the main topic of the book, specifically reading or owning of books. The reason all of the books in this world were destroyed was quite simply because they offended someone in some way and were seen as problematic, starting to see it? I am not saying that this world is exactly like our own nor am I hoping for someone to prove me wrong out of fear I am just wondering about some of the similarities between the book world and some of the things that have happened in our own world that would be necessary for the book world to exist. Anyway I would love to hear from you on any thoughts you have about this

That is a parallel. It’s been too long since I read that excellent work to answer you in full.

I can say all totalitarian governments have a lot more in common than they are willing to admit. Feminism demands a patriarchal authoritarian government with a police state in order to enforce its ways upon the rest of us. Nazis, communists, and generic dictatorships are all alike in this.

The similarities are very similar. Maybe not the book burning part, but the willful ignorance part. People talk about stuff like “the war” and they don’t even know why they’re fighting it all they know is to be scared. That’s really f~~~ing relevant today. Ray Bradbury worked with the theme of ignorance, and how it can only happen if knowledge is destroyed. That’s not the case today, people are willfully ignorant. In a age of all this info so readily available, it’s shocking that s~~~ like the “gender pay gap” is still referred to as fact. Mention something on tumblr, no one questions it they take opinions like they are facts, and present emotions as evidence. It’s a good read, that’s for sure.

Feminism is a movement where opinions are presented as facts and emotions are presented as evidence.

    Book burning.

They don’t need to physically burn the books. All they have to do, and what they do, is get “offensive” books banned from schools and colleges. Esther Vilar’s, Warren Farrell’s, and any other book in this site’s book section will never, never be allowed in any course on modern feminism, not in any college, not in any high school.

The same goes for using certain words. The major news outlets have long lists of words they can and cannot use. TV reporters were addressing Africans in their home countries as “African Americans” — these people had never been to America, yet the TV reporters reflexively used the politically correct form of address.

    Willful ignorance.

They absolutely refuse to consider alternatives to their point of view. We see countless examples of this on TV talk shows. The entire panel will gang up on someone whose book deviates from their politically correct view.

They even turn on each other over minute disagreements. They dispute things an outsider can not tell apart as though these minutiae were the life or death of their overall goals and objectives.

It’s a great novel. I read it back when I was 15 and it opened my eyes to how far some people would go and sheme to impose their sick view of the world on others, to the point of making it illegal to even think or talk about ( in that case, reading books and spreading knowledge ).
Of course, the protagonist has to have his eyes open by some young woman without the wherewithal to free herself so she uses him to rebel for both of them, burning his boss in the process, ha ha!
I found it interesting that he was to memorize the book of Ecclesiastes before everything’s wiped out and begins again.

I am a dystopic book/movie fanatic. I read this book again a few years ago and feel the world is heading in a more facist direction for sure. The surveillance state is in place and I am not confident that it is being used for the good of all mankind, let alone the people of their respective countries. I agree with Silverstone in the fact that most people have no clue what the wars are really about, they are just scared. The U.S. government keeps waging wars based on lies and nobody is ever held accountable and there is no outrage from the public. Just a country filled with blue piller zombie consumerists… S~~~, this time around there is not even a single strong, anti-war candidate running for president. Society is playing right into the Corporate/Military Industrial Complex/Israeli agenda’s hands. I see no hope for change in the near future either…
