Factors impeding the growth of MGTOW

Comparing MGTOW to the Japanese herbivore men, the herbivore men appear to be a lot more influential and large. The Japanese government has even gone so far as to create incentive for more men to marry and have kids. But MGTOW seems to be lagging behind. Why is it? I know that America and Canada are much larger than Japan and are more culturally diverse than Japan. But what other factors are preventing MGTOW from growing as strongly and rapidly as the herbivore men?

Japan has suffered a 25 year recession & low interest rates with the added disadvantage of the ultra high expectations on males to provide for their families.

Europe is not far behind when you look at how men are treated post divorce and the Economic collapse of 2009. Also factor in the number of males that now grow up without a father. It may take a generation for it to go mainstream, but the car crash has already happened, it’s just that it may take another 10-15 years for people to realise it.

MGTOW depends on what each man does on his own. Men deciding to not be MGTOW, is a factor. If the populations continue to grow, then MGTOW isn’t an issue for society. There is use of immigration to keep up the population, so there is less concern with things. With Japan, there is a crisis in declining birthrates, so Herbivores are a problem there.

Each man needs to decide for himself what to do, and make better choices. That is each man’s concern, and I see it as a core point of MGTOW. Men find MGTOW when they are ready for it.

As for things that may harm the label “MGTOW”, going totally wacky in theories about the world, to an extent you can be ripped to shreds by critics and made a mockery of, will have an impact. A man could go MGTOW, but not use the label.

I can’t even watch the whole thing. The first 3 minutes were enough. But but I paid to see Aladdin and the Lion King. The MGTOW online presence grew over 4.5 years pretty slowly…. but has multiplied that 4X in the last 14 months. If MGTOW were a stock, we would be Apple.

Japan’s economic collapse happened, or started around 1989-1991, and recession has existed ever since.

From that, we are probably a decade (10-17) or so away, unless another collapse happen of one of the many possible bubbles, then it’ll be sooner, but looking at how insane feminism is both here in the west. It’s being sped up a bit.

We are but a crazy or two laws away from an even higher exponential rate of men going mgtow.

Western society is more heterogeneous and people accept labels a lot harder, and even if they do, they don’t usually share them. So my guess is there are a lot of men not marrying and/or GTOW than we would think. But since they are not labeling themselves as such and not following a limited set of rules/patterns, they are never taken as a whole in any statistics. Ever seen a statistic saying “Percentage of men that say will never marry: x%”?
Just read between the lines of the statistics and you’ll see there are lots of MGTOW out there. In most statistics bachelors are assumed to get married in the future, so the stats only show an increase in the average age of people getting married. That’s because not enough time has passed for most of the MGTOW to die. You will see in 50 years very different stats, like “% of men who never got married in their life” and there you will see the extent of MGTOW, declared or undeclared.

As for percentages now, well just look around you. In my case, about 2 in 10 of male friends and acquaintances are set on not getting married or remarried. Some of them might buckle, but some other might emerge.

The answer is NO. “I could but I won’t”. Memini murum!

The thing is, he has that career that women are attracted to if you have it, same with other high paying jobs, in some ways it’s more beneficial if you work cleaning toilets, the women attracted to you are not the greedy types, they are more genuine, unfortunately, toilet cleaning men don’t attract women that much, you got to be really funny or something?

I wax floors, and cleaned toilets previously, my ex was the least greedy woman I have ever known, she didn’t even care if I forgot her birthday or got her nothing for Christmas. But she had other issues.

My point is, like flies to s~~~, the greedy bitches that would have a guy thrown in jail because she wants money are the kinds of women that go for the dudes with money.

Gonna say something controversial here(or stupid,goes either way for me.)
Mgtow will grow slowly and other phenomena will also arise,its early days and the social fermentation primarily caused by femanazi engineering is still ongoing,its not about numbers to me ,its reveling in the resurgence of mens energy in new ways.its only in the last ten tears that any real recovery of masculine energy has resurfaced,anything is posssible,men are extermely resourcefull,relax and enjoy the fact that we are in at the beginning,a new dawn,let there be no haste or drama.WE are making a comeback and thats a fact,we never tapped out at any point,we where just preoccupied with our projects.But we be watching now,ohh yea.

Yep, and it’s also a matter of how a message is being put across ie. playfully… That’s how I still do it occasionally like I mentioned in another thread months ago and whenever I do so, I’ll let my own common sense judgment decide, whether or not the person is listening to my first hint and whether or not I shall proceed about getting any clearer than initially (ie. even eventually mentioning the term as such) and in my experience it is the best way one can spin this in any given real life situation as in giving away little by little according to a possibly interested response or fold quickly upon falling onto deaf ears in the first place.

So in a sense going my own way has at least somewhat sharpened my critical thinking, too.

The rise of herbivore men in Japan is slightly more complex and different from Europe and English speaking countries largely due to more rigid cultural differences which I will explain below the next paragraph. In no way am I detracting from what MonkeyMind has written, I’m just adding a bit from a different angle.

We can not assume that the growth of MGTOW is being impeded in any way, rather than that, it is evident that herbivore men have started emerging more than two decades ago because of socio-economic and cultural difference between Japan and the rest of the western world, emphasis on cultural pressures while MGTOW has been brought on by bustardisation and corruption of civil laws by third wave feminist from mid 1980’s. There are likely many potential MGTOW being strung along for lecture and book fees, hoping that the next bit of Game will help them get laid.

As MGTOW rises (and I’m excited to donate Bar Bar’s book to local libraries), the PUA’s trying to cash in on Game at the last minute will create weird copycat movements intended to drive men into their arms. Think of Neomasculinity, or Roosh’s attempts to work himself into GamerGate with Reaxxion. These people slow down MGTOW by distracting men and offering them a technology (“Game”) that does not help men with their problems.

Another factor is that, unlike Japan, the western countries will import young men from outside. Germany would be a good example. Since the birth rates are falling further and further, our politicians wanted to get as many people from middle east/africa in here as possible. But after it became obvious, that cities like munich cant handle 13,000 syrian refugees in the span of 1 – 3 days, they now panic. The whole of Europe panics, more or less. Hungary already build a big fence, to stop refugees from entering. Like Greece, Hungary is a stepping stone for the refugees to get to Germany.

Anyway, what im saying is: the western world can pick young men from other countries to replace all of those who went Galt, so the western goverments dont care that much, since Japan doesnt take many people from outside their border in.
