Well, I finally just said f~~~ it and left facebook. Over the last year I just kept removing people left and right. Anybody that I didn’t actually talk to in person. Recently I started removing all women. Wouldn’t you know it they started contacting me, “why did you unfriend me?” Why are you stalking me is what I wanted to say. How did they even notice?? Anyway. I Wanted it to be just male friends, but ones with c~~~s just cause problems, so I said f~~~ it. Who needs facebook. Bunch of f~~~ing narcissists anyway. Going ghost is feeling good. Well, back to cooking my man brats. My local butcher shop makes them. 😁

Good decision.

In Australia the Govt. are starting to talk about online bullying as well which is interesting as many forums are rife with it. They want to hold sites like Facebook etc accountable. Up until now these places have been a little like the Wild West.

If you like to read I would recommend a book called “True Faith” by Ben Elton. It is sci fi and all about a future world built around social media. Very realistic when it was written but even more so now.

I can’t stand people who use Facebook. People take their meaningless lives too seriously there. I mean there’s people that post images of their breakfast as if the whole world should care. “Look at me! I had bacon and eggs this morning! And I have a selfie of it!”

I’ve never been to FB, don’t know how to do all that friends stuff .. however .. it does’t sound like it would jive very well with my ongoing Ghosting. I don;t like people coming out of the proverbial woodwork and wanting to contact me .. if that’s what happens. Not sure .. assuming.
… this is actually one of the only sites I still visit except for some YT music and a few electrical and plumbing supply catalogs. I do also bid on a few collectibles and autographed items .. now and then; that’s about it. Oh, yes .. I also visit a couple sites related to the Old West.

Used to be a member about 10 years ago. I quickly realized that even if I wanted to (and didn’t care about FB selling my info) that I wouldn’t be able to post anything of significance on it. I didn’t tell a soul at work I joined and yet within hours I had work colleagues wanting to add me etc.

I had one guy from a different building want to friend me, that was pretty much the last straw. I didn’t know him that well and found his invite a little much.

You also get people who unfriend each other for stupid reasons as well as just not wanting to get the constant alerts etc from people who are glued to the f~~~ing site and post their every movement.

This site is one of the last I am still a member of as well. So many sites now are PC mad and the mods and admins are just shocking with how they deal with people who have differing views.

It’s a tool for vanity and bullying.
I can’t say that was the original intentions, but that is what it has become.
No good has come from it at all.

I got sucked into Fakebook (I was referring to it as Fakebook before discovering MGTOW) through a former work colleague (female, no surprise), as a way to “stay in contact”.

I disabled my account about 5 years ago now.
The incessant emails about all the pointless s~~~ going on was driving me crazy: what “friends” and “friends” of “friends” were having for breakfast, selfies at KFC, and general fakery about how everyones life was just sooooo much better than mine.
And the feeling that it was all some dumb competition to see who can get the highest “friend” count.
I don’t miss it one iota.
I really need to do the final big delete, but I just can’t be f~~~ed even logging on to their crap do it.

With everything that is going on at the moment, with personal information being bought and sold clandestinely, there is no way in hell I would recommend anyone to signup.
I remind my son constantly about not engaging with it, as he will be happier without it.

I am so glad I never signed up for that s~~~, or any other social media site. I stay in contact with people through my phone. If I want to call my friends in the States or Australia, I can use Skype on my computer.
