Historically women pretty much had to beg for sex. There were some men that would have sex with prostitutes, but these women were the lowest of the low, and those men were not thought much of either.

But the average man would refuse to have sex outside of marriage, and would only marry a young chaste woman and only with a dowry. It’s actually Muslims that started the blue pill stuff, having men pay for women. I think perhaps there is a lingering effect of that from the Islamic/Ottoman Empire, although I’d have to research that a bit more. I met a film maker a couple of decades ago, married to an actress, whom told me that it was actually Muslims who also invented dating in the first place.

Dating isn’t a Christian or Western idea. America wasn’t founded with that in mind. This revisionist history where people claim thousands of years of gynocentry is ridiculous and factually incorrect, but people are so deeply programmed by the modern Western culture I don’t think they can ever recover. Everyone just uses the lens of their own personal experience and cultural upbringing, very few can learn from history or read objectively.
