Excellent red pill AC/DC song – Kicked in the Teeth

SONG STORY: The suits (management) at Atlantic Records told AC/DC that all the groups at the time (LATE 70’S) were making big bucks writing metal love ballads (i.e. Love Hurts by Nazareth, Beth by Kiss, Lady by Styx, etc etc) and they wanted a ballad out of AC/DC. The band said they didn’t understand how to do ballads. The suits told them to just write about personal experiences the guys have had with women that broke their hearts. Also, the suits told them that it is important to not have the guitars prominently playing during the verses of the songs. The next few days the suits visited the band and the band said they had made a ballad. Then they played this song. The suits just shook their heads and walked out.

I love AC/DC. The Bon Scott era is my favorite. But the Johnson era has some great tunes too like Moneytalks, Fire Your Guns, Stiff Upper Lip, Thunderstruck etc..
