First off the whole damn movie is what’s wrong with it, but let’s see what CinemSins came up with:

When you have a “super smart” woman, with all those complex equations on the whiteboard, you just stop and think about how desperate feminism has gone….it takes so much enjoyment away from a remake. The original, with old school CGI, was AWESOME! Cheesy jokes and “smarty pants” women is such a turn off and mood killer. We do not give a s~~~ how “smart” a character is, all we care about is ghosts and chasing them. Women characters trying WAY TOO HARD to show of their “qualities”. It is not that I hate female characters, it just takes the main focus away from the story and more about them…like this: “look at me look at me look at me”.
A tranquil mind is neither happy nor sad, it is uninfluenced by external conditions.
We do not give a s~~~ how “smart” a character is,
Non documentary films are supposed to allow the viewer to “suspend our disbelief” and sacrifice logic for the enjoyment of the film. While realism is important to some movies, others not so much … that’s why we have B movies, low-budget bottom tier films.
If a character needs to be smart, then you just place the appropriate set material and ensure that the costumes are accurate and off you go. No need for elaborate sets or costumes, let the actors act … or not in this case.
Let the viewer decide who is smart or dumb, who is good or bad, who is right or wrong. It’s hard enough to enjoy today’s films as they all are remakes of older films, don’t subject us to your interpretations as to how the characters are viewed.
Allow us to Suspend our disbelief until we choose not to because of the movie quality.

When the “idiot” character is showing up the “smart women” the film is in deep trouble. But, that is more due to Chris Hemsworth’s skilled acting talent.
I wouldnt watch it out of principle. This was nothing but a feminist remake of a classic movie just so hollyweird could push the bulls~~~ that women can do anything guys can do, which we all know is not true. They did the same to Mad Max with Furry Road, and i wont watch that crap either.
