The problem is that nobody takes these women aside and gives them a good dressing-down. If they were actually viciously berated for what they’d done, it might occur to them, “Huh, perhaps this was a stupid thing to do.” But because everybody sides with them and treats them as the wronged party, they never get the kick in the arse that they so urgently need.

That’s why I love Jeremy Kyle. He never holds back whatever sex you are. If a woman has f~~~ed up, he’s not afraid to give it to her with both barrels. This is still one of my favourite episodes. It’s a similar situation; a woman rips a man to shreds for not stepping up to the mark as a father, complaining that she hardly gets any money from him, and that her situation has been an utter nightmare – then it turns out that he’s not even the dad. You don’t have to watch the whole thing, because it is quite long – about 22 minutes. But it’s got some great scolding moments from ol’ Jeremy, and as such he finally brings her to tears around the 14-minute mark, because this is not the treatment that she was expecting to get. He’s good at exposing people for what they really are. I wish that judges were allowed to do this in a courtroom.

One of the problems is that the woman of this generation have been raised on movies, books and TV shows saturated with blue-pill philosophy, and are always shocked to discover that that’s not how reality is. That nauseating piece of s~~~ Blue Valentine was a paradigm of this problem. Ryan Gosling declaring his undying love for Michelle Williams, even after it’s discovered that she’s pregnant with a kid who’s probably not his. Women watch this crap and become convinced that guys like that are abundant. It’s like those movies are made specifically to make real men look bad, and give women a fantasy to cling to that no man could ever match.
