“Romantic Love” doesn’t actually exist. I still believe it never has, never will.

Oh, sure, there might be something like short term obsession between two individuals. The woman is living her fantasy of the marriage story. This supports the mega-business of weddings and all the trimmings. The guy, obsessed with the gal .. plays the part .. jumps through the hoops, tuxedo, rehearsal dinner .. the list is endless .. and so is the price.

Love, or something close to it, does exist between a parent and child. This close affection can also exist for parents and even family .. arguably, even lifelong friends.

Nevertheless, I just can’t believe that anything does exist .. or ever has existed .. that can be defined as Romantic Love. It’s just a chemical obsession .. short term, at that .. part of the old Lizard Brain leading a guy down another path to his ultimate destruction.

I listen to the songs .. as I drive, as I work .. how can you avoid them .. it’s basically every song on the radio .. almost every lyric ever written.

I hear a song playing right now in the background of my workshop .. as I type
.. the sappy love lyrics of an old disco song I’ve heard so many times .. it has a great catchy beat, but, ends up being .. just another fabrication.

I don’t find this thought of misleading lyrics depressing .. I listen to lots of music and it’s certainly been written and performed by absolutely outstanding talent. I collect music .. I buy music. It’s a part of my daily life.

Just a personal opinion and view .. an observation of how society and the business of “faux-romance” has been designed, set-up and sold .. over the centuries.

Traditionally speaking it is all about a man finding a woman to have sex with and to bear him children.

For the woman it is about being taken care of alrhough she is also expected to take care of her husband, kids and home.

And that is the problem now. The contract has been torn up, life has changed. We don’t have farms anymore and don’t need lots of kids to help on them.

Women work and so don’t tend to the home. Even if they don’t work don’t dare expect them to do so anything!

And do the man works and does the right thing until his wife decides she wants her freedom and files for divorce and takes everything he has worked for from him.

Yup, and the music industry turns out that crap every day. That is really all you hear. Even though, you could write a song about anything really. That’s why I started making my own music years ago. It just gives me something else to listen to.

In High School, I used to like THE CURE. Now, I can’t stand them. One of the most blue pill bands ever. Sappy love songs make me sick.

Thats why hooked on metal worked for me. I would rather hear slayer since an song about the decay of the world than hear some blue pill s~~~. Brothers I s~~~ you not I worked with a dude that was so blue pill that motherf~~~er had Celine Dion that horrible song from the movie titanic on his phone as his wifes ringtone.. it still makes me to cringe to this day if I hear any kind of flute music. The world is very very sick.
