I made a passing mention to James Bond in another thread, about how they turned it PC without passing up on the opportunity to insult him, even going to the extent of having the new Q treat him of misogynistic dinosaur, then running to him when her own ass is in the sling. Bond is too nice of a dude, I would have let her and the island blow up after finding out she had a part in f~~~ing up that other woman’s life by letting her get abused by a terrorist, what the f~~~.
And in OP’s story, the live-in girl friend should turn out to be a double agent and the gay “friend” is actually the psychopath who wants to destroy the world in order to rule it.

James Bond is the hero archetype: he fights evil men,risks his life, gets laid with beautiful women. I don’t care if this sound retrograde or homophobic but a gay friend will ruin the entire movie mood (and the future perception of the character).
I think producer are forced to align with the masses, where feminism and LGBT are top trending.

The only thing we can do is to boycott those movies. I promised to myself that I’ll never watch female Ghostbusters. For me it is a form of respect for a great movie of my childhood. Apparently the same will be for the new James Bond movie.

I have come across loads of female Bond “fans” since then and when you try to talk to them about the older films their eyes gloss over and they don’t have a clue as they think seeing the latest one makes them a massive fan of the franchise. And then of course they then want that franchise to change to suit them more which ruins it as with everything they touch

Bond died once Brosnan quit the role in my eyes and he is about to go black and then after that will probably turn into a woman so I have no interest in it anymore
