After yesterday’s speech that she did at the grammies yesterday night when she won I think album of the year, it got me thinking. There were people in her life that were jealous of her like Katy Perry for instance. Taylor even had a conflict with Lorde too but then Taylor had class enough to patch things up with her and now they are like BFF’s(best friends forever) in their own words. I think that Taylor is the real deal, she is talented, she has a great and unique look and she obviously also does not have a potty mouth which is a bonus since it shows how much class she has. The only thing that is a problem with her though is that she is a feminist, but I do not think that she is like those other feminists that we have been venting out against. So what do you guys think?

Don’t kid yourself. She is only acting innocent to attract a larger audience. Having a larger audience means more $$$. Plain and simple.

She wears too much make up.

She is just doing it because all the other celebrity girls are doing it too.

Not only is it advantageous for her to fit into the female tribe, she sees how it benefits her. Women have the luxury of being able to wear makeup. Men do not. I’ve seen women that were ugly as dog s~~~ put on 5 pounds of makeup and look like a goddamn princess afterwards. Like I said before, everything that Taylor swift does in view of the public eye is to make more profits.

Taylor Swift is a gynocentric narcissistic wrecking ball! She’s the farthest thing from class!

I think you have a point there.

    who?

Taylor Swift is the first woman to win 2 album of the year awards in the grammies. I am not sure if you know her because she is popular in north america but not sure if she is popular in Great Britain where you live.

I have no idea what her speech was even about, but I’m going to say no. For celebrities, you always need to consider whether actions are genuine or an act for fan base. They certainly can be, but if you add in the non-classy acts, then you get a better picture.

These are what I know/have heard.
    – She had a relationship with John Mayer knowing his reputation with women, then acted hurt when she got the same treatment. She even wrote a negative song about him if I recall. Classy?

    – She posed for the cover of GQ. Classy?

    – She originally had songs about that were fairly clean and decent. I actually liked the song ‘You belong with me”, although I don’t think of ‘me’ as a woman really, but as ‘God’ or just myself…away from manipulative women. Now, every song I hear from her now seems to be about Chad Thunderc~~~. Classy?

    – She came up through country and migrated to pop to increase her fan base. Classy?

Do I want her as a role model for my daughter? No. To be fair, I hear she is very nice to her fans, generous, and a real sweetheart if you meet her in person. Good for her.

Really, the question is irrelevant. It’s not like her influence is going to somehow improve the behavior of women. Honestly, I think she makes it worse.

    Ok. Then do it.

“I can make the bad boys good for a weekend.” <–Lyric fron one of her songs.

    Ya, just oozing with class.

I don’t know or care. I don’t watch network TV so I’ve never seen more than a few snippets of her. If she acts classy, more power to her- even if it is just an act.

    Class? No.
Would I screw her? Maybe, I’ve had worse. But I would have a contract for her to sign promising she would not write a nasty song about me after sex. (yeh, never happen)
She’s a feminist at heart and won’t change.
She’s a crybaby when men don’t treat her like Cinderella. (immature)
Honestly, I did like her early music ok, mainly because my daughter listened to her in her tweens. But, otherwise, I wouldn’t have paid attention to Taylor or her music.

Taylor Swift is still a f~~~ing joke. Despite being one of the most famous and richest people in the United States, she still needs “feminism”. That on top of what I consider to be s~~~ty songs are all I need to say no to this woman.

I don’t care about pop music. For a musician, making good music is the most class one can have.

It is a common failing of childhood to think that if one makes a hero out of a demon the demon will be satisfied.

You got to admire her drive though to do whatever it takes to get ahead in life(like how she went from country to pop just to get more fans). At least she is a better role model for girls then music artists like Nicki Minaj, but the reason why she looks like she has class is because she is all an act like some people say here. But if it wasn’t for who she is in trying to get ahead, she would of not have even come close to getting two grammies for album of the year which is something no other female did. For a lot of people out there though, they would say that she is more likable than music stars like Kanye West.

No. There is no such thing as a feminist with class.

Feminism isn't about equality with men, it's about leverage over men.

No I don’t. I think she has some talent as musician and song writer. But doing whatever it takes is not always admirable.

At least she is a better role model for girls then music artists like Nicki Minaj,

Perhaps (I don’t know either all that well), but neither is ideal. However, which is more dangerous? The wolf, or the wolf in sheep’s clothing? I don’t want my daughter thinking “I can make the bad boys good for a weekend.” My daughter likes Lindsey Sterling, and that’s what I’d go for as female musician role model.

    Ok. Then do it.
