Guess we know why Ezuifax security wasn’t up to snuff. Chief of Security was was a woman with a music major degree.

Meanwhile a qualified man is unemployed.

So often times it happens that we live our lives in chains and we never even know we have the key. Eagles

I find it funny that they hold such explosive information in such quantity. Yet hire an incompetent f~~~tard to manage it.

This makes me upset for several reasons. I’ve spent YEARS trying to improve my credit score, yet some hacker has the power to ruin it in seconds with a few keystrokes. Another reason: I think these credit bureaus have too much power over people’s lives. You have to be careful with how you spend money because there are several penalties you can get for paying your bills late or maxing out your credit cards.

Without a good credit rating, it is hard to rent an apartment, rent a car, get a bank loan for a car or house, get approved for a credit card, and, in some cases, get a job or a good auto insurance policy.

These credit bureaus have the power to f~~~ up people’s lives with their scoring methods. With all that power, you’d think that they’d have the RESPONSIBILITY to make sure our data is safe! They have permission to collect our data whether or not we care to have a credit rating. I think there should be a class action lawsuit against Equifux for this security breach. The settlement should be: everyone on their list gets 5 positive points on their credit score.

"I saw that there comes a point, in the defeat of any man of virtue, when his own consent is needed for evil to win-and that no manner of injury done to him by others can succeed if he chooses to withhold his consent. I saw that I could put an end to your outrages by pronouncing a single word in my mind. I pronounced it. The word was ‘No.’" (Atlas Shrugged)

Credit scoring has become, like all things, a method of enslavement. It started out good, like everything else, and then got usurped by those in power. They turn every good invention against us.

That is why cash is King. If you need credit, you are living above your means and should downgrade immediately.
Credit and their stupid scores are the new whips and chains to keep us slaves on the plantation.

The answer is NO. “I could but I won’t”. Memini murum!

I agree, debt is slavery. Most guys will probably take a mortgage at some point in their life but beyond that it really is stupid to do things like trade your car in and finance a new one every 5 years and carry balances on credit cards just to go on vacations and buy stupid s~~~ now rather than wait and save up.
