Paying the cost to be the boss not all it often cracked out to be
Death rates have been increasing for middle-aged white women, decreasing for men
Women have wanted to do everything a man can do. They are catching up on a lot of these things. They are also catching up in the death rate. Men have been hero’s to save these damsel through war , women and children first etc. Women have entered into more dangerous professions police ,fire and a few others. I do not see an increase in women % in mine disasters dirty hard dangerous jobs.
A part of being a man and being in charge is stress and the rate of women having and dying in heart attacks is raising. The days of setting the alarm and making sure that the man of the house is the provider and make him provide.
We have known men who have worked and worried themselves into bad health and even death. Feminist have told women they can walk out that door and get that check and they can get the man out of the picture.
A good provider has to work long and hard and long to provide the “things a women deserves”.
Most jobs payed by the ability to do the job. Along with ability is the insensitive to do things others want to do like night and grave yard shift. Mike Rowe did not have a lot of women on his Dirty Jobs
show. Fewer women (the Lesbians) come home to a raging pms induced rage that you are not doing enough for her. Women will not do a lot of things that men do for them, so the comparison is not the saw as the sme reason makes less than men i.e. Long hours away from home doing things they hate.Yes. They’ve made their bed and now they can toss and turn in it.
"It seems like there's times a body gets struck down so low, there ain't a power on earth that can ever bring him up again. Seems like something inside dies so he don't even want to get up again. But he does."
What can you say. Somehow the gender studies classes forgot to mention that there is real, actual, work involved in earning the money to pay for things that so many women take for granted when they are married.
This oppressive notion that it is a man’s *duty* to slave away to provide a level of comfort and security for a female and expect nothing in return is ludicrous. Maybe during a time when laundry meant hauling everything down to the river and hauling it back wet and hanging it up, and chopping wood for the fire every day, and skinning a deer for the hyde, butchering it for the night’s meal. Fresh water meant hauling buckets to a river or a well and back.
When women did those things while a guys was out risking his life and sacrificing his health, then there was a measure of equity.
But now the modern household can be maintained in 8 hours of work or less per week. Maybe more like 5. That’s not counting childcare – something I think should always be a shared task.
So the big lie is that her 6-8 hours(max) of housework is somehow equivalent to his 40-60 hours of toiling in a coal mine.
Furthermore, if she runs away with the milkman while he’s out toiling, she should be entitled not only to half of everything he’s ever worked for, but also half of future earnings, all while no longer providing the 6-8 hours of loading the washing machine and dishwasher and running the vacuum.
I realize this is an oversimplification and a gross generalization, but the truth is I’ve watch this exact scenario play out multiple times with guys I know, so from my personal experience, this is the truth.
Domestic goddess my ass.

“If that is an oversimplification and gross generalization” .. NO it is not.
It’s one of the most accurate spot on tight summaries of exactly what transpires.
Your review refreshes memories as to just how preposterous a deal it is.
Thank you for your clarity."It seems like there's times a body gets struck down so low, there ain't a power on earth that can ever bring him up again. Seems like something inside dies so he don't even want to get up again. But he does."

If its really true, then…oh well…. I don’t give a damn. I have more important things to do rather than grieve of a future where there’d be no women left.
A bird in the hand is worth two in the bush.
Varum, your link seems to be spot on. I noticed a great increase in stress among most women, even in the early 20’s now. There is a huge push to put more women in every job, and especially Management! This results in more jobs for women and less jobs for hard working, qualified men.
When I would go on dating websites (not for long periods because I would get nauseated) all these women would somehow have 2 jobs, 4 kids, 2 dogs and seem very stressed out by the way their bio was written. They are on there for a man supposedly, but there is no time in her busy life left over for any man. I truly believe that they are on there for some type of bragging/martyr rights to shine their “poor me” attitude. All the while at the same time, they are collecting 2 incomes from 2 jobs, and several child support payments from the poor bastards that used to put up with her. Dont worry because the money never lasts because they need to buy a bunch of crap. This results in more stress because they have to work overtime/extra jobs for their spending habits.
Its no wonder these women are more and more stressed out. I would rather watch my spending and take on 1 full time job and enjoy my off time. Not only is this less stressing, but if I die two weeks from now, I dont want to say “well, at least I worked all that overtime.”
Both of my ex-wives lived like that. Notice I said “ex”.
#icethemout; Remember Thomas Ball. He died for your children.
There’s a solution to every problem, for women it’s always spend money.
If that doesn’t work, spend a large amount of money.
Don’t think it through. He can always come up with more money…………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………….he’s gone too much……………. I’m not happy……But, now, They have no whipping boy to blame only themselves.
Hamster wheel economics, run Floris run!"It seems like there's times a body gets struck down so low, there ain't a power on earth that can ever bring him up again. Seems like something inside dies so he don't even want to get up again. But he does."

Hamster wheel economics, run Floris run!Haha…you describe my parent’s perfectly. When they started having kids, they made the obvious decision that my dad picking up some overtime at work made a lot more financial decision than my mom keeping her her low wage job just to give most of it to daycare providers, so she became a stay at home and he consistently worked OT most of his adult life. Literally 1 extra shift a week for my dad would have made more money than 40 hours for my mom.
Years later when my brother and I are grown up and moved out, we went over my parents for dinner one night and my mom was whining about dumb s~~~ like women do, and she threw it in my dad’s face how much more she did for us when we were kids than he did, and he was hardly ever around for us. I wanted to punch her in the face it infuriated me so much…before my dad could even muster up a come back I just blurted out “because he was busy working overtime supporting us so you could have the privilege of spending more time with your own kids than he ever had.”
It was just so ridiculous…he made a huge sacrifice for her because it was what she wanted, and years later she tried to turn it around on him and throw it back in his face like he was a bad father and a bad husband for it when the simple fact remains…soon as we were old enough to go to school, she could have found something to do part time during the day for a little extra cash without having to pay for daycare so my dad could have passed on some overtime and spend more time at home, but she refused to do that.
