The Nextflix series ‘Explained’ did an episode on “Why women are paid less”. It’s loaded with crap, as you’d expect, but it did have a few interesting points to it. More specifically, they actually admitted that there really is no pay gap. The data shows that single women make just as much as men do. It’s the mother’s that see a decrease in pay. I was shocked that they were willing to admit that. Of course, the lower pay for mom’s were all men’s fault.
The other thing worth noting is that they set out 2 examples were women do earn as much as women across the board. One was an African country, where genocide had wiped out the majority of male labor, so women were forced to work. The other was Sweden (I think) where they had passed many laws attempting to equalize pay, but still couldn’t get passed the ‘mother’ gap. Their solution that seems to be working is to give men the same amount of time off for the birth of children as women do, and make it so that it’s either used or lost. The idea, as they explain it, was to push men to take greater responsibility for childcare. I see it as actually treating men and women as equals, instead of treating women as special and pretending it’s equal.
Ok. Then do it.
If it gets fathers and MOTHERS taking care of their kids. Fine. I got no problem working extra so that when I get older, I have some kid that was raised right that is going to be a legacy I want to have for the future.
Honestly, I am glad they did something at least FAIR for once. Kids really are something that should have value. But so many people say it but don’t mean s~~~ or have anything about it. Look, I WANT WOMEN to take time off for their kids. Nothing wrong with that.
See, I don’t CARE if I have to work extra IF SHE REALLY IS putting her KIDS first and trying to RAISE HER FAMILY. And that means the Husband as well.
But what do MOST women do? They DON’T.

Women want many things.
– Women seem to want equal pay for fewer hours worked.
– Women seem to want preferential treatment just because they are women.
– A lot of women want to be in management positions over men, even though a lot of the women are not qualified.The fact that single women are paid equally to men is unfair. They are lazier, less capable and flirt their way through their jobs without putting in the work.
The shocking thing about working mothers is that they care more about work than motherhood.
The whole way the world views this question is comparing apples to oranges and then saying they need to be equal.
A woman is like fire -fun to play with, can warm you through and cook your food, needs constant feeding, can burn you and consume all you own
While I was out making more money than my ex, I missed:
Both daughters’ first words
My oldest daughter’s first steps.
The first time they crawled.
The chance to be the “A” parent and not be relegated to “B” parent status.
Too many other “firsts” to count.I SACRIFICED being there for many special moments in my children’s life in order to make sure that they had a roof over their head, food on the table, clothes, and any other comforts that I could provide. It’s a trade off. Women want all of those special moments, AND to make as much money as a man that is missing all of those family moments to provide for their family. I am forever the “B” parent because of those formative years I spent providing for my family, pulling the plow.
Fried ice. To have their cake AND eat it too.
Actions have consequences. Women don’t want consequences.

To be clear, I’m not suggesting that men and women who are paid equally are actually the same value to the company they work for. Nor am I suggesting that the issue can be narrowed down to a simple principle or two.
Ok. Then do it.
