In the past 20 years, I’ve noticed an increasing amount of resentment against wealthy, successful people and successful organizations in the USA. I admit that I’ve always envied the rich, and there’s a wide gap between the rich and poor in this country. I get it. But I don’t want to be the party pooper at the rich man’s house. I’ll settle for serving drinks or parking cars. In other words, if you can’t beat them, join them. Or compete with them if you can.
If I don’t have money, it’s up to me to figure out how to get some. It’s not the responsibility of my community to give me a better life. I remember listening to one of Adam Carolla’s rants. He made a point that people used to praise those who were financially successful, and they would strive to be like them.
I get upset when people make statements like this because they are promoting the idea of LEECHING instead of creative work:
“There’s too many men who are CEO’s.”
My response: Those men spent many hours of the day working and educating themselves for that position. Most likely, they didn’t take a leave of absence to be a father. Women are free to pull their resources together and start their own businesses. They can create businesses with an all female staff and no one will stop them!
“Girls should be able to do the same activities the Boy Scouts are doing and earn an Eagle Scout award. The Boy Scouts should let girls join!”
My response: What part of BOY Scouts do you not understand? Why not UPGRADE the programs in the Girls Scouts, and create your own Eagle Scout award? Or create your own scouting program for boys and girls instead of altering an established organization?
“Tax the rich. They have too much money.”
My response: Why don’t you get a second job or try to learn new job skills? Then you’ll have more money. Invest in an IRA for 20 years and you’ll have more money. And don’t have kids until you have some financial stability in your life. Politicians: why don’t you spend the tax revenue you already have in a responsible way instead of promoting welfare to the have-nots? You don’t have to give $300,000 to a university to do research on why dogs wag their tails. And you shouldn’t give billions of dollars to nations that are politically opposed to ours! Create some infrastructure jobs, and hire unemployed Americans. You’ll reduce poverty, and you won’t have to tax successful people.

Anonymous3It’s odd your post should pop up just now.
I was just reflecting at what I see at this stage of my life
A nation with the problem of childhood diabetes & obesity.
A nation of people with their noses stuck in their cell phones who don’t look up at the sky anymore.
A nation that wants money for nothing.
Gamblers & Casinos
And on & on with the opiod crisis, etc. etcYou have some good responses.
I would like to add we need to honor those who are still willing to work for a living & willing to take responsibility for themselves.

Yep. It is easier to be a victim than to rise above your current circumstances. Easy to denigrate those who have lived strenuously.
I remember when I first joined this site and identified myself as a retiree. Some yahoo on the site said he didn’t want to hear about someone with a retirement “package”. Well, there’s jealousy for you. But with every success comes a bag of s~~~ that you have to drag around. Imagine dealing with Trump’s s~~~. I don’t envy him, I don’t pity him. I just think he’s nuts for wanting to be president. What a thankless job. As for jealousy…be careful what you wish for. You’re liable to get it.
"Don't follow in my footsteps...I stepped in something."
It’s not what you know, it’s who you know.
It’s not what you know. And it’s not just who you know. It’s what those people that you know think you’re capable of achieving.
Anyway communication, real open communication, is not wanted or even required in a relationship. Women cannot handle fully open and honest communication, plus most perceive it as a weakness on the part of a man. All that is required is catering to her whims, and even then nothing is certain. There is no way to be sure of having a successful relationshit with a woman. MGTaoist

Good point. Grease a few palms, step on a few toes. Profits, that what the whole worlds about.
I am envious of success. I try to emulate the behaviors I feel will bring me success. So far I am in probably the top 20%. I strive to be in the top 3%. I make excellent money and will make more. I continue to grow in skills and leadership ability…
Was I handed this? No, I have worked my ass off. I have attended college three times to expand my knowledge and skill set, I have worked multiple jobs at a time, spending all of my spare time chasing the elusive elite. Am I in debt? Yep, sure am, I have nearly $60k in student loans to pay off.
Did I get here by who I know? Nope, I achieved this through hard work and built relationships along the way. So much so that former employees are asking me to come work where they work now to help their companies.
Each day my debt load shrinks and my skills increase. Yet I remain envious. It is a vicious circle and one I don’t expect to defeat or ever overcome, but it gives me drive.
I’d not suggest it to anyone, but also I don’t pity anyone who won’t try to achieve on their own… do you need to be top 3% to be a success? No, you just need to have the drive to achieve what you need to be happy. For some that is a roof and food, others it is a quiet shack in the woods, and for others yet it is a park avenue apartment.
You achieve what you strive for, only by striving for it.
No longer can we walk away, we must run. Remove the motive power.
When the situation for success is intentionally rigged against oneself and rigged to the advantage of others, through no fault of oneself, then envy is justified towards the “successful”, and so is scorn.
This holds true…A lot of people are entitled…I read this when I was young and this has an impact on how I see equality…

I stand with feet apart and let my balls hang free...Manginas dont have balls...See how they stand and sit at the whim of their masters...
Most of my entertainment involves working outdoors which costs nothing other than a little fuel for my chain saw and lawn mower. I don’t have to compete with anyone.
I actually feel fairly successful today .. getting my road back open and as a bonus .. also got some firewood
… since I had a large old oak tree fall across my driveway last night .. so I was entertained most of the day with that.I remember when I first joined this site and identified myself as a retiree. Some yahoo on the site said he didn’t want to hear about someone with a retirement “package”.
Well, that shouldn’t be a problem here. I want to learn as much as I can about building a retirement pension while I’m still working, and I’m sure many others (particularly those that check out the money forum) want that knowledge too.
Enjoy your retirement!

There’s too many men who are CEO’s.
This entire statement is laughable when consider the history of boys and men. When the world wars came young boys took up arms they fought and killed the enemy. They face oblivion and did what had to be done, they didn’t bitch like feminists they just f~~~ing got it done.
Elon Musk was crazy enough to take the risk and it paid off with 3 multi billion dollar companies. He is a billionare because he worked insanely hard he has earned every f~~~ing dollar.
A MGTOW is a man who is not a woman's bitch!
There aren’t too many men who are CEOs.
There are too many men who aren’t CEOs.The way to correct that isn’t to drag down and punish people for the sin of achieving success, the solution is to find ways to become successful and work toward those goals.
Even CEO’s who’ve “inherited” their jobs from their fathers aren’t just sitting in a cushy chair, riding someone else’s coattails.
They have had to learn to make the business remain successful, or the business fails. If any of you jealous complainers think the world is out to get you and you’re powerless to do anything but bitch and moan about someone having more success than you, you will be living that miserable lie for the rest of your life.
Get over yourself.
Nobody has any fun when you throw yourself a pity party.I would love to see everyone in MGTOW achieving their own version of success and happiness.
We have the distinct advantage of knowing the system is rigged in many ways.
Let’s use that knowledge, gain strength and wisdom from our lessons learned, and find ways to work past the disadvantages so we can achieve what we want and deserve from our lives.
