Like a quite a few people I enjoy a good long walk to clear my head but it got me thinking. Should I walk from England too Japan only using transport to cross bodies of water. A direct flight from England to Japan is roughly 5.880 miles direct and walking a good 6.400 miles (rough estimate). The journey could take up to a year cause I’ll have to walk through England, France, Germany, Poland and Russia or the Ukraine and Mongolia to get to Japan. Prior to the journey I’ll have to set up preparations, everything from a med kit, hygiene kid (shampoo, soap, tooth brush, toothpaste, deodorant, toilet paper) camping equipment, pen knife, passport, documentations, clothes, money, MREs, emergency services contacts, means of translations to malicious stuff like chargers, MP3/iPods and beers. It’ll be no easy task but its something I want to do.

Why not walk the entire UK coast? That’s a few thousand miles, some of it extremely rugged.
That is a cool idea but: I would rather Jeep it! Same deal but…in my Jeep. It’s a bit easier on a one legged dude!

The UK is a political nightmare. Was going to pilgrimage from Britain to Japan. I’ve studied the language and have a few skills under my belt to get a work visa.

How did you lose your leg if you don’t mind me asking?Been Spending Most Of Life Living In A Bachelors Paradise
That’s pretty cool. You should do that if you have the means and stamina.
I hope you do it. It bold and exciting.
If you do, it would be great if you would or could post dispatches…….when and where you are able, back to MGTOW central so we could all keep track of you.
I’m thinking now of a good theme for you. May I suggest:
Worick….A Worldwide Search for the Mythical Unicorn.

No. No matter the route you would take you would find yourself in a lot of hostile areas from a political situation, a criminal situation, and an environmental situation.
Faust For Science
Well no matter where I go there’s going to be obstacles like that whether its political or a criminal sh*thole. It’ll be a case of trying to stay out of areas that have a bad reputation. But since I’m from a rough area myself I’ll be fine. Just keep my head down and get out of there asap.Been Spending Most Of Life Living In A Bachelors Paradise
I don’t mind Worick: Got it traumatically amputated by a blast over in the sandbox…that and a gizmo holding my pelvis together, some other metal stuff holding my shoulder together and a head full of broken glass….but I’m feeling much better now! #MANOUT!

Ouch that rough dude. Least you’ve recovered though, not many people recover so well physically and mentally after such trauma. Worst injuries I’ve had was a couple of knife wounds and a 9mm in my right arm.Been Spending Most Of Life Living In A Bachelors Paradise
Get some shoes with a mileage warranty. 🙂
S~~~ my tires on my car did not last a year.
I use to love Merrell shoes till they sold out and go s~~~y.
My advice, 5000 miles! that one indian dude who rode his bike to Sweden to marry that girl did something like that. About the same amount of miles.
Course, For a swedish woman, that happens to be worth a damn, I WOULD WALK 5,999 miles for that easy. To bad there is not one good woman left anymore.
But anyways, on your trip, make sure you got some money saved up, and plan out your jobs that you are going to do while you are on your way. Learn some new trades, and visit as many places that you can. Make sure to take a great phone with you that takes great digital pictures. (that way you can upload the pics and have a back up even if your phone gets stolen.
Also, make sure you keep your feet in great condition. Make sure to plan out places you want to sleep at. Make sure to keep a video journal of your events if you can.
Also, make sure to make a mini blog on google so it can make doing this process easy. You may even be able to make a great book out of it.
OH and always have some pepto bismol with you. Life saver I tell ya!
You are all alone. If you have been falsely accused of RAPE, DV, PLEASE let all men know about the people who did this. http://register-her.net/web/guest/home

Those are not the only concerns you need to think about. I do not believe you understand what you are getting yourself into.
There are environmental concerns. Going through Europe will be the easy party. Then, if you want to walk it, you have a choice of taking the northern route or the southern route.
The northern route is cold forests, cold mountains, cold swamps, and cold tundra. The southern route is hot deserts and hot humid jungles.
Some of the roads in these nations are only dirt roads. If you want to do this, you need to be ready to make it through some wilderness. Some of these places have very dangerous predators. Such as bears, tigers, snakes, to name a few. You will not be allowed to have a firearm.
Russia and the Himalayan mountains have some of the coldest places on Earth. Meanwhile the middle east and India have some of the hottest places on Earth.
Then, there is China. Much of the center and western parts of China is the Gobi Desert, one of the harshest environments on Earth.
If you are going to hike, before you undertake such a large journey, I suggest you try a smaller journey within Europe.
From your posts, I believe you are a UK citizen. As a UK citizen you have rights within the EU. Just remember Switzerland and Norway are not part of the EU.
Fraust For Science
I have taken the environment into consideration as part of the planning. But on my travels I’ll be using mostly public roads instead of directly through the wilderness. My best bet is through Russia. Using the old but still used WWII supply lines that connect west Russia to east. Not to mention a window of time to get there and pass through. Don’t want to make Hitlers mistake by going through Russia at June time cause when winter draws in it’ll be nearly impossible to travel but start getting through Russia by March. If I’m unable to get there by the deadline I’ll have to go through the Ukraine to China and like you said the climates are completely different. As for wild life I’ll be taking big main transportation routes so hopefully wild life will be at a minimum. I’ve still got a bit more planning to do. Its not an impossible task, just very difficult and dangerous.Been Spending Most Of Life Living In A Bachelors Paradise
LoL! Who said I have recovered? FIDO: F~~~ It Drive On is what got me through it. It was/is a long road and I am still traveling it…probably will for the rest of my life. But…Since deciding that women do not *have* to be a part of my life, things have gotten infinitely easier. I worry about ME now…and only ME. That’s the secret, I think. #MANOUT!
