Started at 10 with some POS no-name acoustic that made my fingers bleed.  I couldn’t possibly tell you how many guitars I have owned or currently own (8-10 currently?).  I’ve had rock bands, country bands, and blues bands (most recently 7pc blues band in 2010).  I am really most interested in original composition though and have a s~~~ ton of ideaz drawing from just about any conceivable genre.  I recently puchased everything for digital home recording.  I am trying to find time to learn it all but my day job monopolizes my time right now.  I will be rectifying that in the near future though so I can devote more time to music.

HISTORY...learn from it, memorize it, DON'T repeat it...

Another one I joke about being my “anthem” is Alice Cooper’s “I’ll Bite Your Face Off.”  It’s about an attractive woman that seduces the man into bed with her, but at that point she’s more a demon than anything!  Quite hilarious…and pretty accurate.

I like RUSH, their tempo with Neil Peart matches the algorithms in my mind! Like 10 horses running and skipping, however all in conjunction, to me it makes scenes. Besides I needed to clear Mr. Ed out of my HEAD! Sometimes I just can’t shake a tune!

SoulMan, It’s nice to have music come in and go out, like a two way radio, you can play, or listen, It’s a blessing…

I was just jamming out to Rush’s “The Trees” here at work, and it hit me how that could almost be used as the anthem as well!

Can you imagine the women being the maples?

Demanding “equal” rights and calling for equality with the oaks (AKA men), ultimately being kept “equal” by “hatchet, axe, and saw” (AKA the government..?)

Maybe I’m thinking too much into this.  But hey, it kind of works!

@Smitty the Great One: I vote with you for your choice of our anthem. There are two reasons or events that led me to MGTOW. The first of these is the non-relationship between Stevie Nicks and Lindsey Buckingham. I know it sounds inane but it was their “relationship” that first caused me to take my first ever hard look at the female psyche. A lot of my youthful illusions were shattered and the views I hold today were formed by their dysfunctional romance.

I was in my teens and very much in love. But as most of us have experienced, something just didn’t feel right. As a flat ass broke young man from a flat ass broke family I really did believe in fairy tales. I had already found my princess and I knew some day I would claw my way out of poverty and live that magical life.

Enter Fleetwood Mac and their fairy tale. Stevie Nicks was one of the pinup girls of my generation. Every boy my age went to bed each night with visions of Stevie dancing in our heads and woke up every morning with a raging Stevie Nicks boner.

And Lindsey caught the eye of every girl my age…many of us dreamed of being him. They both had it all…exceptional looks, talent, money, fame. It was like something out of a Disney Movie.

But it wasn’t to be. That bitch had everything but it wasn’t enough. So she f~~~ed up the fairy tale. Instead of kissing a frog and turning him into a prince, she jumped into Mick Fleetwood’s bed, spread her legs, and turned into a frog. So that was the end of their fairy tale and the beginning of the end of mine.

It caused me to look more critically and cautiously at my girl friend. I was very much in love with her and still am 40 years later. But I was a precocious youngster and I knew love wasn’t enough. Here I was poor white trash living next to the railroad tracks and she was a well-off little rich girl. How long would it be before she went Stevie on me and started sleeping with other guys? Sooner or later she would realize my shortcomings and limits and that would be the end of that. I even considered getting her pregnant, foolishly believing that would keep us together. Fortunately my logical side prevailed and I dismissed the idea. Her illogical side prevailed and she started cheating on me.

I don’t know if it was a self-fulfilling prophecy or not, but I suppose it was inevitable. It was a huge blow to me, not so much losing the love of my life, but rather realizing that fairy tales were something in children’s books. I take some consolation in that I wasn’t the only one in history to be fooled. Some years later a new fairy tale would be written with the marriage of Prince Charles and Lady Diana. But she too went Stevie on the Prince and walked out. If she would have stayed at Kensington Palace with her husband and children instead of slutting around in Paris with a billionaire Arab playboy the future Great Britain would have been a fairy tale land ruled by the consummate King and Queen. So yes, Go Your Own Way is my MGTOW anthem at least.

If your into heavy stuff imo a very good almost mgtow song would be Last Man Standing by Hammerfall problem is the last part where they ruined it by showing doubts about his ways and wanting to change. but for the most part of the song its lyrics fit us quite a lot.
