I’ve heard it plenty, both on the news and even on here. I’ll admit that there are some things you need to go to college for, like being a doctor and so on. However, I see more and more pointless degrees being had. Think about how many pointless degrees there are. Here’s a link of a few pointless degrees.

Notice how I wrote “education” in the title. Because these places of learning are places where people are indoctrinated to think a certain way. You aren’t educated or given the means for critical thinking and problem solving. Instead you are given a degree that won’t help you land a job.

They always talk about it how education will stop rape, education will stop unemployment, education will stop poverty, education will stop discrimination, education will supposedly stop everything. Meanwhile, there are plenty of people who graduate college and now they can only land a low paying job, one you don’t even need a degree to have. College seems like a debt scheme, and you can make a good living through other jobs.

I feel like you have to teach yourself, and realize that what is taught in colleges and universities is not knowledge. What’s taught is PC bulls~~~, they teach you how to think and what to think, and if you think that makes you “educated” or smarter than everyone else, then you’re truly stupid.

Feminism is a movement where opinions are presented as facts and emotions are presented as evidence.

When you find out we didn’t really go to the moon, space is bulls~~~, satellites don’t really exist and GPS is just another form of radio communication… well it kind of takes the fun out of going to one of those indoctrination centers. I learn on my own and have excellent critical thinking skills without a damn degree. It’s hard arguing with college educated fools about the reality of chemtrails, weather modification, and space. They’re so educated about contrails and believe we are spinning 1,000 mph around the sun on a sphere. Look around, everything is flat and not moving. It’s not called a plane(t) for nothing.

When I got out of the service,I decided to go to Trade college and brush up on my electrical and mechanical training I received while in.

It turned out to be a smart move as trades are always in demand somewhere.
You don’t have the pc BS in trade school either and most of it is on the job training.
You graduate and usually where you apprenticed is where you start if they liked you.
Best part is you work alone and office people just stay the f~~~ out of your way.

All these useless degrees are good news for people like me because the people with those degrees are going to need my help when there is a problem with their nice, cozy office environment!

Wow, that was a bit of a buzzkill – I’m taking Creative Writing this semester. I’ve also taken Journalism in the past; in fact I received a certificate of excellence in it.

I agree with most of the things that this person said (Art History, Anthropology and Communications certainly look useless), but could’ve done without the giant s~~~ on one of my interests, especially as it’s number one.

The only career that creative writing prepares you for is “professional drinker.”

Least I’ve got an unopened bottle of coffee Bailey’s in my pantry, I might just christen it now…

Silverstone you’ve been on fire lately! I agree that those Starbucks-Degrees are worthless and I think women especially use them for status, not necessarily for career. I have seen countless times women waving this status around other women (establishing pecking order) and around well off men (raises vagina stock and worth),but at the end of the day women dont want to work nor have a career. Its apart of their deceit tactics when they land a slave and quite working “I went to school to get my bachelors in performing arts and had to stop to be a stay at home mom”. Women degrees are worthless to the men they’re dating, dont fall for it!

Never lose sight of what brought you here.

You can certainly make a good living in the trades, and you start with no debt and WILL easily find work. College is less affordable now, than when I graduated, largely because of government grants such as Pells, that drove costs up about 300%. ‘Free’ college, when it comes, will raise costs even more.

Many graduates do not have understanding of basic Economics or personal finance, let alone history, geography, or logic.

I think you still learn critical and logical thinking if you study mathematics or the hard sciences. You don’t need to go to college to study these subjects, though, if you just want to study them as a hobby.

However, in our society, the Magic Diploma is used to limit who is ‘qualified’ for a job. Part of that is the cover-your-ass mentality of hiring managers. Part of it is companies not training hourly staff to perform professional work (e.g. Engineering Assistants). I would argue there is a glut in some fields and that it is very difficult to find a first job in some of them. There is a disconnect between job market and number of degrees granted in different fields. Another major problem is lack of work-study; students aren’t exposed to workaday life in their fields.

Batman: If you were serious about earth’s rotation, the simplest argument for it is the motion of Foucault’s pendulum. The Coriolis effect is another proof–I’ve used many Coriolis flowmeters industrially. The bulging of the equator due to the Earth’s rotation is another one.

Education can either be the memorization of facts or gaining the ability to think critically and understand. People who graduate from college now are almost as educated as a high school graduate of 70 years ago; but not quite. Feminism and liberalism (like the NEA) have deliberately destroyed it to create government dependent morons who want medals for participating, safe spaces to avoid thought and who will vote for those promising fairness and equality of outcome.
