Women have Valentine’s Day—the most sexist day of the year. So I propose a day for men: Dude Day. It’s a day for women to buy gifts for men and provide entertainment. Women can “show their love” for the men in their lives by spending their hard-earned money for his pleasure.

"I saw that there comes a point, in the defeat of any man of virtue, when his own consent is needed for evil to win-and that no manner of injury done to him by others can succeed if he chooses to withhold his consent. I saw that I could put an end to your outrages by pronouncing a single word in my mind. I pronounced it. The word was ‘No.’" (Atlas Shrugged)

You are right, and this is the first I have ever heard of it:

International Men’s Day (IMD) is an annual international event celebrated on 19 November. Inaugurated in 1992 on 7 February by Prof Thomas Oaster,[1] the project was re-initialised in 1999 in Trinidad and Tobago.[2] The longest running celebration of International men’s day is Malta, where events have occurred since 7 February 1994.[3]

Edit: I’m always looking for an excuse to guzzle some champagne. Nov. 19th is not that far away, so I’ll have a supply laid in. I would round up some fireworks, but I don’t want to upset the neighbors. The 19th is exactly two weeks after Guy Fawkes Night, yet another excuse for downing a wee dram.

Society asks MGTOWs: Why are you not making more tax-slaves?

Spending by Men on Women on pay-for-V day is about twice spending by Women on Men http://www.usnews.com/news/blogs/data-mine/2015/02/11/valentines-day-spending-to-approach-19-billion. Guys $hell out $190.53 and Women $96.58.

And NO, this is NOT $exism, the article explains the disparity as ‘Chivalry is not dead’. The women tend to shop at discount stores, the men, department stores.

As for me, skip the gifts, I’ll take a Day of Silence, haha.

I would also like to look up what percent of household expenses, mortgage, etc women pay for vs their significant others but I don’t think I’ve ever seen a survey on that. I have seen time diaries indicating women spend far fewer hours in market labor than men (though more on household labor). I’d also expect fewer women than men buy homes in their 20’s when they’re single, but again I’ve never attempted to look that one up.
