I got served divorce papers the day after Father’s Day in 2006. I put them on the table and left to throw batting practice with another former pro. I picked him up and we were headed for the ball park. On the way there a post wall t~~~ ran a stop sign and side swiped us. She attempted to leave the scene but changed her mind for some reason. The cops showed up and she was given a ticket for no insurance. She claimed she lived out of state and provided what turned out to be a false address but the phone numbers she gave were correct. The player I was with went back and got his car and discreetly followed her to her real place of residence. It was less than a mile away.

I showed up on her doorstep the next day. Her son answered and said she was at work. He told me where she worked. I went up to where she worked and left a copy of the accident report with her boss. She lost her job within a week being she drove a company car and didn’t report the accident. It turns out her husband wasn’t aware of the crash either after I called and he answered. He filed for divorce immediately after I gave him a copy of the accident report.

I knew I wasn’t going to get paid so why not just totally f~~~ with her? For a month I would continue to call and leave notes on her car telling her to pay up. What was she going to do? Call the cops on herself? She eventually ended up in the psycho Ward in a hospital. I’m satisfied with that even though I didn’t get paid for the damage to my car. NEVER drive without insurance. It can f~~~ your life up just like it did to her.

It’s events like these that remind me there is a degree of Karma in the world. Sounds like hubby had had enough of her lies and deceptions. Thanks for the share.

I didn’t mention that I knew I wasn’t going to get paid when my friend and former teammate came back after following her and told me she lived in a somewhat trashy trailer park. The writing was on the wall. He knew the bitch was lying about her address so he quickly went to his house and got his car. He parked just barely out of sight of the accident scene and waited for her to leave. My car was still drivable but that’s not the point. I don’t regret anything I did and never will. C~~~. The look on her husband’s face said it all when I gave him the accident report. He was done with her. AWALT

I have double the liability of compulsory insurance. Let the piranha lawyers feed on the insurance company and leave me and my assets alone!

P.S. you should have pressed charges and filed suit with leans on anything she owns and future earnings.

It did cross my mind to press charges but I was going through a divorce at the time. Too much going on. My father taught me that when someone doesn’t have car insurance they usually don’t have a pot to p~~~ in or a window to throw it out of. I believe he was right in this case. In a little under 4 years my child support will end. The next c~~~ I’m going to send to the mental institution will be my ex. Makes me smile.

    Its an Art form.

I lived in a duplex once. Bitch next door was a c~~~.
When I mowed the lawn, infront of her liveing room window, I would leave an ever so thin strip unmowed.

    It eventually dove her insain.

    Big fun.

TV series Kung-Fu, “Truth binds one to reality.”

She didn’t believe in being truthful, therefore: lost her job, lost her marriage, lost her reality physically and mentally.

    You go girl

    Totally.

Because that could have been all done for free.

Or $3-4k in cumulative legal expenses.

    Rule number one of money:

Don’t spend existing money chasing money that can never be collected.

And never spend $300/ hour on an attorney, court costs and filing liens (not free either) to try to collect money from someone that doesn’t have it and has the ability to claim bankruptcy: Which is when the government tells you that you legally can’t collect anything from the debtor.

And FYI to those of you out there that do not want to be in a similar situation if someone hits you and doesn’t have insurance.

    It’s called ‘Uninsured Motorist’ coverage.

I’ve got it on both of my vehicles.

And it works great. In 2014, I got hit by a guy that had a suspended license and no insurance.

I didn’t have to wonder if the information he gave the police was accurate or have someone ‘follow’ him to his address, etc

Gave the incident report number to my insurance company, they got a copy of it, had me get an estimate for the repair work (that I had the shop I went to inflate) and I got a check for $3,800 a week later. LOL And the work I had done only cost $1,740

Now THAT is how you make $2k (after using $1,740 of the $3,800 for the repair work) off a deadbeat that has no insurance and will never pay up if they are sued.

(*Note: the Uninsured Motorist coverage on my insurance for property damage up to $10k is an additional $9.34 a month)
