Some people wonder why I have a hard on for Russia. The place is cold. The people seem to always seem to speak in an angry tone, and things are just kind of Odd over there.
I like the place. Can’t wait to go there.
So with that, I would like to share with you some of my favorite things about Russia when it comes to design. And just to note, WE KNOW YOU are all NOT RUSSIAN! We Yanks are just too lazy to care. On with the show.
Drive.RU has been a fav show of mine for a while now But this car, but take a look at this marvelous creation.
2015 Bilenkin Vintage Is a BMW M3 Turned Retro Russian Coupe
There is something amazing about how they blend timeless and hand crafty into a car. Take a look at this wonderful instrument panel.

There is a certain charm about this beauty from the inside out. It just has this very masculine quality about it without looking foreboding.

However, this is where you see where Russia has their own way of doing things. This rear quarter panel just does not look…Right. It’s not bad looking, it just does not seem to flow. Its where this car just sticks out as being from the Eastern Bloc. It makes no apologies. It just is. It’s one of the things I love about cars from this part of the world. They just are different without trying to be like some Asian cars. I think this would be called the rear buttress if I am not mistaken.

However, the front end just looks right. Kind of like a Maverick by Ford. It just seem to go so well from here till we hit that rear panel. However, modern cars just don’t seem to look right in a photo. They seem to look better in person as I have seen this myself.

In motion however, this beauty just seem to change its stripes. From this side, it almost seems like its taken a few hints from a Datsun B210. Some Nissan is in this. Not sure how to point it out, but it sure looks amazing in motion.

Coming around to the rear of the ride with this 2 tone paint job, it just seems right after a while. Like it was made to be. It’s like the whole car seems to make sense now. But this regardless is piece of art made to be in motion. It kind of reminds me of watching Russian people move in their daily lives, but with a solidarity and grace.

Again, if you look closely, the car just does not look right when its sitting still. It just seems out of place in this environment as well. It would look so much better with the backdrop being the futurism of the past. Almost Art Deco in a sense.

As far as the interior, I prefer the dark look. But the bright almost 1920’s energy is more expressed with the photo below this one.

And as so many things, the Brightwork on this machine is of the utmost detail. This is what caught my eye. It’s almost like automotive Diamonds and pearls with mechanical precision of a watch.

The original article is here, please stop by and take a look.
Russian Pickup Truck ZIL-130 Custom
When you think about truck, custom trucks as far as the USA goes are High Lift Dirt and Mud slinging Truck bed full of titys creations.
This old chap, I think she’s got a style of her own.
Most people don’t see cars from the top, but you can see where the small details and the accents really come into their own here.

The paint and brightworks are so well balanced. It’s almost hard to believe this is even from the bloc. But RUssians have a way with trucks in my opinion. They seem to do it like no other.

What is really amazing is the rear end. It’s just perfect. I can’t think of a more seamless and “Just feels right” approach to how they made all of this just fit. Nothing stands out as outlandish, but does not meek with silence either.

A rendering in Black.

You just don’t see things done today with the idea of being admired like you use to. This Fuel tank just makes you want to enjoy the piece all on its own.

When I mean that russians don’t care to follow the rules, take a look at this Very much larger than life truck. You see how they did not even bother with the lights all being in one place? It just plainly says, “I am here to get it done”

In a way, it’s almost looks cartoonish. Not bad at all, it just has this being composed while being gentle and playful at the same time.

It almost looks british to me in a way. Not the elegance, but the playful, nature of it. Almost like a grown up kid made this.

Its in stark comparison to what this looks like. The Truck is ALL Business. Make no mistake. You know why I am here.

I have to admit. I’m not a fan of this almost American look here. But I have to say I really like the way they mixed the roof line in.

I know, not EVERYTHING they do is great. But you have to admit, you may not buy it. But if you had the chance to drive it around? YOU WOULD!

There just seems to be this certain thing that just always seem to be off in some of their cars. Its like you have to get use to it before you like it.

Course, my fav is always going to be this guy. Sure wish they mass made these. I love the way it looks.

And really, they way they do things is just.. Odd. But great all at the same time. You never forget the look it has.

This is why we need to save the culture of people all over the world. It’s not just about cars, or what they make or do. It’s about real preservation of art and human soul.
You are all alone. If you have been falsely accused of RAPE, DV, PLEASE let all men know about the people who did this. http://register-her.net/web/guest/home
