double standards reversed

I’ve noticed a couple cultural phenomena that, in my youth, were considered double standards to the detriment of women, have been totally reversed in the intervening years.

1. Age differences. It used to be common (and accepted) for older men to date/marry younger women, while the opposite was considered unusual and a bit weird. This was supposedly a double standard reflecting patriarchal oppression, etc. Now the cultural attitude has been totally reversed. I have a couple female friends on Facebook in their 50’s who have younger guy fetishes. They post status updates (seeking reaction) about dates with guys 20 years younger than them, and of course the result is a chorus of comments like “you rock!” and “do whatever makes you feel good!”. This seems representative of the prevailing cultural attitude. Meanwhile, if a man gets a much younger girlfriend, the attitude is eye-rolling, “another old guy buying himself a trophy” and “he’s a sugar daddy”.

2. Promiscuity. It used to be a cliche that men who had a lot of partners were manly studs, while women who did the same were sluts. Today, that same woman’s behavior is considered “liberated”, “uninhibited exploration of her sexuality”, and “expressing her passion” while the man is engaging in “sleazy objectification of woman”.

And this is probably just scratching the surface of double standards, but these are the ones that come to mind as being 180 degrees reversed during my lifetime, with the unfortunate timing of the old double standard being in effect when I was a youngster who couldn’t get laid, and the new double standard when I’m older and can do a lot better (if I chose to).

Women are just a walking contradiction. It makes me laugh when they talk about ‘exploration of sexuality’ and the rest of that bulls~~~. They know deep down, as well as we do, that a woman who sleeps with a lot of men lowers her market value. What exactly does it say about her? To other men ‘she’s easy.’ To other women ‘she’s giving it away free and making us less appealing as a consequence.’ Indeed, women dislike promiscuous women more than men do. They know they’re lowering the stock price of pussy.

All this rhetoric about ‘sexual exploration’ and ‘expressing passion’ is just women being women. Trying to change the environment around them to a more pleasing and ‘safe’ one. They like sex and they want the freedom to have lots of it with various men, except that they happened to be born a sex that loses it’s reproductive value the more sex it has. That’s their burden and they’d like us to believe that it’s one more burden that we don’t have and we should try to make it right for them. Bollocks. Our burden is having to be the initiator in the first place. Having to taste rejection many times in the hope of eventually getting it right. We all have problems ladies. Except we just happen to be better at accepting them.

Promiscuity in a Bitch may be fashionable to some but Not to Me.   Here’s the Way I look at it:

If you used a Garden Hoe 100 times outside in your Yard, It is Still a HOE even if you bring it into your House and onto your Wall as if it was some singular form of  Transcendent Art.

A HOE will Always be a HOE.

I think \w #1, it may have a bit to do with being jealous.

Women see older men getting young hot bimbos, and they get absolutely infuriated because THEY can’t get young hot men!

And, ofc, you can’t forget… “It’s never the woman’s fault” lol.

All of this being said, it doesn’t change he fact that women depreciate at an absurdly faster rate than men do. They cheer for the women getting younger men so they live vicariously through them. Most women above 50 look like a wet dog honestly

Women see older men getting young hot bimbos, and they get absolutely infuriated because THEY can’t get young hot men!

Actually, from what I’ve seen, it’s fairly easy for older women to get fairly attractive younger men, as long as the woman makes a token effort to take care of herself. She doesn’t have to be particularly hot for her age, she just has to retain a sense of femininity and spunk and playfulness.

But the big caveat here is that she will probably only get the guy for sex. She won’t get monogamy, and he will probably get bored with her after a while.

The women I’ve known who met this description have all had ex-husbands who cheated on them. They move on to younger guys partly out of desire to make their exes “jealous” and partly as a way to self-consciously demonstrate that they are “young at heart” and want to “live life to the fullest while I still can”. And I suspect that mentally these women are still partly stuck in high school, wanting to date the cool guy, and accepting the cultural presumption that young equals cool while old equals uncool.
