I donated blood for the first time today.
It’s always something that I’ve wanted to do, but I always made up excuses like, ‘I don’t have the time.’, ‘Someone else will do it.’ etc.
Well, I disciplined myself to go to the blood donor clinic today and get it done. No matter how inconvenient, no matter how painful, no matter how uncomfortable I felt, today was the day I was going to do it.
I HATE needles and my stomach was turning and my heart was pumping fast even thinking about it on the drive down. But like most things in life, our worries and fears are far worse than the actual experience itself.
All this worrying over a minor sting that lasts less than a second. I was surprised, it was really nothing.
I was told that every donation of blood helps at least three other people.
And from a purely selfish stand point giving blood forces the body to create new blood and thus cleans out your circulatory system like changing oil in a car and leads to increased heart and cardiovascular health.
At the end you go to a rest area and are offered cookies, muffins, juice and other treats.
I was in and out in less than a hour.
And the best part is that you feel like a million bucks after donating blood. It was an incredible experience and I will do it over and over again.
I would like to encourage my fellow MGTOW brothers who have never donated blood to do so – it’s a little thing that will do so much for yourself and your fellow man.
The greatest tragedy in life is to spend your whole life fishing only to discover that it was not fish you were after. - Henry David Thoreau

I find the whole entire medical industry utterly deplorable, especially since they get blood for free yet charge out the ass for it when it’s needed. It was freely given to them, they should freely give it to those that need it. Yes, there are costs associated with transportation, storage, and extraction but beyond those costs I don’t think these companies should be allowed to make a profit off of someone else’s generosity.

You mean like when companies like Goodwill, Salvation Army and others make money off of goods DONATED to them by the public aka “someone else’s generosity”?

Great post TBS.
I give blood regularly and totally agree that it is a very worthwhile thing."...reinvent your life because you must; it is your life and its history and the present belong only to you.” It is Your Life, Charles Bukowski.

No, that’s totally different. Many people find thrift stores to be a valuable community service because it allows them to get rid of the stuff they don’t need without having to either fit it in their garbage can or list it for sale online. They also help businesses like myself because I can get a nice tax deduction for donating stuff that I get for free or nearly free in exchange for a lower tax bill. In addition, Goodwill and Salvation Army both provide valuable community services in exchange for said profit, so there’s added value there.

The problem with donating blood is actually donating it, id rather sell my blood then donate it, my blood isn’t free.

My problem with needles is where the f~~~ they stick them (i have bad memories of this) id much rather cut my hand and have it drip into a bucket then having to stick it right in the vein (even cutting my nose and letting it drip would be better).

Paid for the blood donation company.
Just an east coast asshole who likes to curse, If you get offended by words like fuck, cunt, shit, piss, bitch or any racial slurs then you just scroll down.
Not to be paranoid, but I don’t donate blood anymore because they test it for all kinds of things that are no longer required for the safety of the blood and you’re not covered under HIPPA privacy laws once you’ve given it. It’s a shame, but I don’t want to get denied for insurance in coming years because of tests that they run on the blood.
We just don't realize life's most significant events while they're happening. Back then, I thought, "Well, there'll be other days". I didn't realize that that was the only day. - "Moonlight" Graham
Donating blood is good, but be prepared. My first time I went into shock. That did not stop them from taking the whole pint. They even lifted my legs so I would not pass out.
An old boss of mine was originally from eastern Europe. One day he came back into the office after donating blood and said: “What de f~~~ is dis, man? They wanted to know whether I f~~~ other men. It is an insult! I will never donate again!”. We all got a good laugh out of his reaction.

If you want to do something goood, have your blood tested for everything and then choose people who need a transfusion and donate directly to them.
They make no distinction between character, morals and values, a descent man or a thug, both will dispute the blood bag with the same priority. Save lives that matter to you, don’t let society use you as a slave to save some cucks who just f~~~ your whole life and would throw you in front of a bus because “respect wymennnn”
