Does Russia meddle in American politics and government policies?

Does anyone here think that Russia doesn’t attempt to do anything to meddle in American politics, elections, and U.S government policies?

The line I am seeing now isn’t that Russia doesn’t try, but whom it is with. I recall the argument was that Russia never meddled in the last election, but now it is that either Russia wanted Hillary over Trump, and that only Hillary was vulnerable.

What is your take on this? Is there any reason why Russia wouldn’t try to meddle to have American political process be more favorable for it, like lifting sanctions against it for what happened with Crimea?

I may be biased on this as I am a Trump supporter.

They may try and do some soft meddling but I don’t think they have any power to shift the results of an election in any meaningful way. In my humble opinion, Trump did not win because of any Russian meddling. I just don’t see the evidence to support it.

The Soviet Union used the Civil Rights Movement in the 60’s to get under the skin of JFK.

They probably did “meddle” in our election, but we do the same s~~~ to everybody else. The question should be, “Why is it so easy for foreign governments to have such an influence?”

The USA meddled in Israel’s election to try and get BB Netanyahu out of office.

Obama went to Britain and told them to stay in the EU or face being in the back of the line as a US trading partner.

The KGB had since the early 40’s. But, the americans they trained branched away from the KGB in the late 50’s wanting to retain local control of the group. I read a very good book quite some time ago by John Barron titled “KGB: The secret work of soviet secret agents”.

The tactics were honed by the KGB and are still used today.

I think it should be fairly clear by now that Israel meddles in the U.S. more than any other country does. And the U.S. and Israel meddle the most in other countries affairs via assassinations, funding terrorism, staging coups, and outright wars of aggression to destabilized and change regimes, usually just resulting in more chaos and mass death and suffering. Russia meddling in American politics? I welcome it. Hopefully it will tone down some of our bulls~~~, because it is has been piling high of late.

Even Jimmy Carter said that Hillary ran a bad campaign and that Barry failed. But the Dems don’t believe they are ever wrong, they still believe that the majority of Americans think like they do. Authoritarian states tend not to get progressivism and a break down of conservatism. Progressivism is a byproduct of globalization, liberalization of social norms, and other things. There are individuals who are involved in this and do run things that way, all over.
