I used to really like rock and country music, maybe a little bit of a rap but not very much. Ever since I went my own way, I noticed that almost every song I listened to was written about a girl they knew. It might be just me I’m not sure, but I really don’t want to listen to music that speaks about a girl they fell in love with. I started listening to metal and heavy metal much more. There is of course some good country and rock music with some meaning behind it (actual meaning), but I cut out a lot of music I used to listen to.

    Anyone else do the same?

I have cut out love songs…And songs that are just petty wants of weemin and being “empowered”…I have very little tolerance for their bulls~~~ “look at me” songs…I would rather be doing something productive for myself however hard it is…

It seems most tunes are about a Mans pathetic undieing love, or some bitch singing about some evil bad man, that she dint need no more.

I wish some dude would be able to break through, with tunes about the reality of being a Man

Kinda the opposite, all my reading, music, philosophy, activities etc started to take on a common theme. I could not figure out how to interpret it in a meta sense or what the common thread was.

I accidentally stumbled across mgtow and all the pieces fell into place and made perfect sense.

mine didn’t really change. I started listening to less oldschool, but that probably would’ve happened anyway.

    Thanks for this thread, RedPillNexus.
Going your own way does change your tastes, not only in music but in weemins as well.
I used to fall for short blondes, now I don’t give a f~~~.
As far as music, definitely changes your tastes.
I used to equate certain songs to how I’d treat a woeman, used to listen to the lyrics and get moved this way or that…
Now I listen to the lyrics of these fem-oriented pop songs and think What a load of crap!
Virtually every song sung by a bitch has three steps:
    Met you, loved you.
You did bad to me, I hurt.
I left you but I hurt more.
All a bunch of sobbing lies and manipulation designed to castrate the listener.
    Exhibit A
    Before He Cheats
    Carrie Underwood

Right now he’s probably slow dancing with a bleached-blond tramp,
    And she’s probably getting frisky…
Right now, he’s probably buying her some fruity little drink
    ‘Cause she can’t shoot whiskey…
Right now, he’s probably up behind her with a pool stick,
Showing her how to shoot a combo…
    1. Suggestive, brainwashing tactics.

    And he don’t know…
That I dug my key into the side
Of his pretty little souped-up four-wheel drive,
Carved my name into his leather seats…
I took a Louisville slugger to both headlights,
Slashed a hole in all four tires…
Maybe next time he’ll think before he cheats.
    2. Inciting to violence, hate and property damage.

Right now, she’s probably up singing some
    White-trash version of Shania karaoke.
Right now, she’s probably saying, “I’m drunk”
And he’s a-thinking that he’s gonna get lucky,
Right now, he’s probably dabbing on
3 dollars worth of that bathroom Polo*…
    3. Shaming tactic to mentally castrate the listener.

    Oh, and he don’t know…
That I dug my key into the side
Of his pretty little souped-up four-wheel drive,
Carved my name into his leather seats,
I took a Louisville slugger to both headlights,
Slashed a hole in all four tires…
Maybe next time he’ll think before he cheats.
    Tactic Nr. 2
I might’ve saved a little trouble for the next girl,
‘Cause the next time that he cheats…
Oh, you know it won’t be on me!
    No… not on me
    4. Scare tactics, spreads paranoia, fear and hate.

‘Cause I dug my key into the side
Of his pretty little souped-up four-wheel drive,
Carved my name into his leather seats…
I took a Louisville slugger to both headlights,
Slashed a hole in all four tires…
Maybe next time he’ll think before he cheats.
Oh, maybe next time he’ll think before he cheats…
    Same as Nr. 2
Oh, before he cheats… oh, oh.

Oh, Oh what a load of crap.
In my EXPERT opinion, that song is a grave danger to impressionable minds.

Since I chose MGTOW I don’t even listen to female singers, and a lot of bluepiller male singers as well. The whole music industry – as opposed to actual Art – is manipulated to impress upon the masses what the social engineers want the masses to display in their lives. Some songs, listened to under the right conditions, can cause someone to commit suicide.

Be watchful what you watch and listen to, brothers. The whole media experience is manipulated by people who don’t have your best interests at heart.

Don't let them Blame, Shame or Tame you!

Have you noticed that there are seldom any “love songs” written by women, and more to the point, many songs sung by women are written by men? Men are loving, emotional creatures. It’s only natural they’d write love songs. It’s what we’ve done. Because at heart, men are romantics. Women see romance as a comedy. It’s only serious and emotional when it’s sexual. Which is displayed in contrast between rom coms, and romance novels (love porn).

It’s kinda fun/interesting to listen to this LOVE CRAP because I HEAR it with VERY different ears then I ever did before.

That being said, i still like the “music” that I always have, but now I’m entertained by the CRAPPY Lyrics.

It really has not changed my music preference–I always had red pill tendency in my musics–but it did change my reading habits. I have cut out books written by the laydeez. I found that I could not stand their chatty, dippy rambling they mistake for communication.

When I was younger, I loved watching romantic movies where they end the movie when the man and woman find each other and live happily ever after. I like movies like American Sniper now.
I used to LOVE country music, but when I was married we both listened to country a lot. After the divorce, I can’t stand listening to anything country anymore. I do love 99 problems by Jay Z.

Like a bird on the wire, like a drunk midnight choir, I have tried in my way to be free.

Most music is gynocentric and misogynistic.

Men sing love songs, women sing hate songs.

I get it, I see it, just another reason in the world around us that says just stay away.

Everything seems to carry this theme until MGTOW spawned from the fertile ashes of feminism and gynocentrism.

Modern women with all their legal advantage and 911 muscle have become tyrants that have long gone INSANE!

A very good question. I would say yes to a certain extent. It’s been more of a filtering exercise than anything. Songs declaring undying love etc. have been edited from playlists.

I don’t tend to listen to songs with a female vocalist any more. Perhaps with the exception of Evanescence.

I’ve also found that I listen to a lot more classical music particularly Bach and Chopin.

I used to be really hooked on country but now it all sounds like BP crap. I mean I still listen though but you definitely ‘hear’ it different like Awakened says. Nothing wrong with that though. I mean I still like Christmas music even though I don’t believe in Jebus or Santa.

And there’s still some pretty good country songs out there… 😀

I still listen to all kinds of genres/styles, and can still find a melody in a love song “beautiful” and relaxing but I don’t pay much attention to lyrics in general, unless they resonate something in me — which they usually don’t, and never have.

I will say pre-MGTOW I was pretty neutral towards singers like Taylor Swift, but NOW I can’t stand that horse-faced feminist c~~~ and her bashing men CONSTANTLY in her songs.

I can understand why guys like Jared Leto (although he was caught with a spy cam, and didn’t think it would go to the public) would react with a “f~~~ her” to her music.

And, yeah, we all know, generally, MEN are the driving force behind all quality music: writing, producing, arranging, playing, singing — women are only good at singing really, and standing behind a microphone with a “see me, see me, see me”, “hear me, “hear me”, “hear me” attitude (A few women have written some great songs, but they’re rare).

Yeah Music and movies. Now I hear a popular song and I can’t help but dissect it through the red pill lense. Same with movies. I used to love Forrest Gump. Was my favorite movie I watched at least once a year. Now I just can’t, haven’t watched it in four or five years. Tried watching it once during my divorce and was like ‘goddamit Forrest!’

Now my previous second favorite movie “Shawshank Redemption” is in the top spot and I think we can all agree it is RedPill friendly.

But, same with movies. Now I see a movie and I’m deconstructing the portrayal of female behavior ‘a woman would never really do that.’
