Does anyone have any pride? The majority of people seem like they have everything handed to them. I’m 26, broke with a college degree. I work my ass of 6 days a week and see all these people my age with big ass bank accounts etc. does anyone want to earn their rewards through hard work anymore? Damn!

The town I live in has many well-off people living in it–a lot of these high school kids have brand new Mercedes purchased for them by their parents. At first it annoys me, then it makes me smile because I know they are going to be crippled going into the real world with no motivation to become good at anything.

So many of them go to college on their parents’ dime and just get wasted every day until they get thrown out. There is a clear pattern where the kids who have the most done for them by their parents fail the hardest.

I thought so too, then it dawned, it’s all borrowed money and when it runs low they just get another loan. eventually it all comes crashing down.

Ah things …. pretty things ….. stuff …. items …. gifts

Lets hope they keep coming …. from others of course 🙂

Dont worry … keep looking these people …. as the crash approaches.

    The horror ….. the joy

Try teaching classrooms full of people with that attitude.  I did it for several years and I thought I was going to go nuts.  Had I stayed in that job for longer than I did, I’m sure I would have become an alcoholic.

Being in a relationship with someone who had that attitude was bad enough. “but we can get it nowwwww” glad I got out of that before the gold hoop of doom appeared.

A lot of of those kids that you see with nice cars finance them and spend every penny they make on them. I know a lot of guys like that, we’re all in our early 20’s. I have another friend who works two jobs like I do, and instead of investing his income he spends it on his 350z. Sure, it’s slammed and has a built motor and does great burnouts. But in the end it’s just another toy, that he’s spent well over 20 grand on.

The point I’m trying to make is that a lot of people in the current generation are totally blind toward the concept of anything but immediate gratification, and so waste their money on frivolous pursuits.

Don’t worry about it. There will always be idiots that blow their money on nice things, they’re just removing themselves from the financial gene pool. In the end, it means us MGTOW will have less competition in the financial sector.

I knew a carpenter who bought houses and drove a junky pickup truck. His rental income is larger than what he makes as a carpenter. He is set for life, rusty pickup and all.

Society asks MGTOWs: Why are you not making more tax-slaves?

When I was 27 and broke with a degree, I felt the same way.  I was p~~~ed that all the blue collar guys were banking, buying boats and atv’s, while I was struggling.  So I said f~~~ it and went to work as a roughneck for 62k/year.  Since I had a degree, I quickly moved up, and now I am petroleum engineer by trade and title.  Sure, it would have been smarter to get the petro eng degree, but I loved philosophy.

The point is, f~~~ what degree you have, go blue collar and work into the better jobs.  Once your foot is in the door and you know what you’re doing; they don’t care what or where your degree is from, they only care that you have one.  It’s a 1-up on the competition.  Sure, it’d be great to study philosophy professionally, but I have read more and studied more philosophy since graduating that I ever did while an undergrad.  And yes, I am very proud of myself, my path, and my success.

F~~~ investing, the stockmarket is a suckers bet for the layman.  I didn’t get a bailout when I lost my whole life’s savings in the crash.  They took my money and said, “thanks, chump.”  I learned the hard way that wall street is not in new york, it is in las vegas.  But hey, it’s your life savings, not mine, so do what you will.  You’d be smarter to put it all on 16red imho.  Or better yet, buy that 370z for yourself, not for your bankers grandson.

I am proud I receive no assistance from the state..No food card, welfare or unemployment..

I am proud that at 52 years old I can still work and be proud of the results…

I am proud My daughter finished high-school (without getting pregnant). and is in college  now..

I am proud to have survived my worst mental moments…

I am proud to know I exist for the benefit of my own sake and those who would be sure to appreciate what I have to offer.

I have pride, but I have shame also. Humility, Respect, courtesy and manners. Plus a good dose of uncaring forgetfulness, or was I just zoning out? apathy, a caring nature..

Of all redeeming qualities you pick to ask about a shortage of PRIDE? I believe pride+arrogance=superiority complex

There is no shortage of pride man everyone is proud of something..I want to know if there is any compassion? We are guilty of “not giving a s~~~” more than any other thing…Although its not a crime, it shows something in us that I am not proud of…

I was bound to be misunderstood, and I laugh at those who misunderstand me. Kind mockery at the well intentioned, but unfettered cruelty towards those would be prison guards of my creative possibilities. This so as to learn as much from misunderstanding as from understanding. Taking pleasure in worthy opponents and making language fluid and flowing like a river yet pointed and precise as a dagger. Contradicts the socialistic purpose of language and makes for a wonderful linguistic dance, A verbal martial art with constant parries that hone the weapon that is the two edged sword of my mouth.

I like the way you think…I have Years of blue collar construction experience majoring in Stone-Masonry…No college..Hardly a resume worthy of landing a middle management job at a big construction firm…But By exercising my right to work in the private sector I don’t have to settle for middle management….I am the upper management chief of operations and senior CEO…Their are no problems only solutions…

Sometimes perspective adjustments are in order…Even a man from a poor background with little hope of things getting better will sometimes choose a better quality alcoholic beverage than he normally buys knowing he has to pay the extra price,, Just so he can drink what the higher class people drink and say to himself “I AM SOMEBODY”  I buy only what I like now because it is what I like…Education is another way to separate us into classes… I am tired of the notion I have to work to eat…I always liked the notion I have to garden and learn animal husbandry  to eat…I have met no small amount of stupid college grads working right next to me in some public sector jobs… They wax on about their education and complain to me, who never had the financial opportunity to go to college…I would not waste the opportunity is all I can think..But I would never tell them that because it is better to let them think they are a better class person who is being treated unfair by being forced to work a job that don’t require a college degree…and next to the likes of my class of person The non-college class….College makes you more educated not always more intelligent…The internet is allowing old high school grads who love to read to close the gap in book learning..college level information is becoming free…Its like “good will hunting”  we get no degree but they can’t steel the knowledge back…

Did I say anything about the stock market? I’m more of a real estate type of guy. Once you purchase a house, it’s yours as long as you can afford to pay property taxes. There’s a big difference between that and the volatility of stocks and bonds. I’m definitely not the type of person that likes to gamble either, but I suppose that’s the personality difference between you and I.  I’m 21 and I’m just about to make the down payment on an apartment, rather than renting and throwing my money in the garbage. I can tell that you are a lot older than I am because you don’t realize how hard it is for us younger dudes to get a good job. I work two jobs, 60 hours a week, and make barely over $30,000 a year. The only way I can ever have as much income as you do is to invest my money. That’s why I’m trying to acquire rental properties. You’ve had better opportunities than I have so far, and I think that’s why I have a more conservative mindset with my funds. Still, it’s whatever makes you happy, right?

Everybody sucks their employer’s dick once the paycheck is big enough, even if the work is mind-nummingly boring. I’ve seen this multiple times; no one has drive to do something different. Be a good sheep and do not question the sheperd.

I am proud to say that after 40+ years of being an annoying over achiever. I achieved most of what I loved doing and enjoyed it. Now I am somewhat of an “under achiever” and also enjoying that. I had to listen to my body when it said enough is enough, I’d rather die later than sooner.

There was a time in my life when I gave a fuck. Now you have to pay ME for it
