I don’t think that accurately explains the problem women tend to have with logic. It’s not that they can’t or won’t think logically, it’s just don’t think it all the way through. They only consider the facts that support their emotions and stop there.

Take the stance on rape. Everyone woman who claims rape must be believed. They justify that logically because if women are not consistently not believed, then women will be much less likely to come forward when they have been raped. It theoretically means more rapes will happen.

And there is absolutely nothing incorrect or illogical with that train of thought. The problem as we know, is that IT IS NOT THE COMPLETE picture. Believing every one who claims rape ALSO means that innocent men will face the punishment of a crime they did not commit. And it has happened. It also means women are encouraged to lie about rape in order to punish a man they dislike for whatever reason. And it has happened.

In some cases, I think this is a conscious decision to ignore facts that don’t support their emotion. In other cases, I think it’s unconscious. When coming to a conclusion, they naturally stop before the full picture is clear, because that’s all they needed. That’s why you can often catch a woman in a contradiction. Both sides are true when you only look at the data that supports whatever view you favor at that particular moment.

I showed my gf that shutterstock photo of the woman holding a soldering iron next to a computer motherboard, and she is holding it by the front metal part which would be burning your fingers if it was turned on.

She said that photo brought back memories — she fancies herself a bit of a science/tech geek. I asked her if she held the soldering iron in the same place. LOL.

I’ll caveat that all by saying I do work around two women I respect: one is my boss, and one is a co-worker. The co-worker actually knows her s~~~ as far as IT goes, and she has other s~~~ together as well — for example, finances, as in having enough money saved up to last 6 months of expenses.
