“Do the right thing.” What the f~~~ is that s~~~? I’ve seen that line in hero Hollywood movies, and it p~~~es me off for some reason for a long time. It didn’t seem right. It seems all universalist/moralists, propaganda: Hollywood telling the public what to think.

There is no right or wrong way of choices. “Do the right thing” is a universalist pandering of society, and is extremely vague. What right thing? What bulls~~~. Society’s interpretation of the right thing is actually their interests, is smoke screen, to hinder your own process of going forward or inhibit your goal from being realized. I see this not only television, but in real life.

I have family and friends that tell me the same thing. “DO the right thing!” I have had my goals put off, for their interests, and it took me years to realized I have lost precious time, for my own. I cannot be dependent on people who do not have my interest! I cannot believe how people are so conditioned and unknowingly regurgitate propaganda. “Do the right thing! You need to do the right thing!”

    Such bulls~~~!

“Do the right thing” usually means “do what I want you to do”. Do the right thing for YOU. That’s the best way to live.

That’s what I figured before, but I couldn’t pin point it. Took me a long time. So much smoke screen before, in a maze.

The definition of do the right thing depends on what virtue signaling idiot you are dealing with. I say don’t do stupid or evil s~~~ and everything will be fine.

Listen to Joe. He has common sense. Do what is best for you.

    “Do the right thing.”

Who gets to decide what’s right?

Who gets to decide what’s right?

Well, I have free time most Tuesdays, so I’ll volunteer.

If you feel the urge to do “the right thing” but it is obvious that that is wrong for you and you turn against the powers that would damage you, then you are starting to gain the power in going your own way.

“Do the right thing” just means, “do what i would do, or what i want you to do”.

It’s real f~~~ing meaningless to me anymore. And remember, no good deed goes unpunished in this ass backwards society.

Generally, I find that if the mob are telling you that it’s the right thing to do … then it usually isn’t.

“Do the right thing”? I did. Why else do you think I’m here?

Spot on, UnKnown! It never works to outsource your decision-making.

You say you’ve lost time, and I feel the same, but I think it’s important to remember that there is time. Unless what you want to achieve in life is being a world-class ballet dancer or athlete or something where there is a limited time window you can do it, you have time. The main thing is you have your freedom now. Think how much time you will have now that you won’t be pouring your time down the toilet by spending it with women!

There aren't holes in your pockets. It's called marriage.

    The right thing is to
    Go Your Own Way!

Everyday above ground is a good one. Everyday above ground while single...better still.

This is another type of manipulation.

    Woman: do the right thing
Me: thanks for your suggestion (while you walk away).

Why should I do anything to contribute to a society that’s FUBAR?

I see nobody looking out for me and my interests…why should I look out for them? Why help people who don’t give a f~~~ about anyone else but themselves?

Everyone should carry their own weight in the world. After all…equality, right?
