‘Divorce Corp.’ looks at the high cost of ending a marriage

Thanks for this post. I wish I could see this documentary.

I sometimes wonder why men enter into marriage. Given the daily evidence of how disastrous divorces are, and how frequently marriages end in divorce, marriage is truly a sucker bet for men.

I saw it when it came out a year ago. Sadly, I’ve lived it (and am currently living it) and so I didn’t see anything I didn’t already know. It does a nice job of explaining in 90 minutes the absolute madness that is behind family court and the subsequent lives that are destroyed while lawyers, judges, etc make a killing of it. It says divorce is a $50 billion dollar per year industry. That’s just in the US.

I watched it.  It’s quite interesting.  I’ve never married, but if I’d needed a solid push toward MGTOW, watching this documentary would likely have done it.  I think the video tries to be even handed, showing how divorce all parties, however, it does ignore the stats that divorces are initiated by wives – which is an eye-opener when I express that stat to a lot of married guys I know.  I’ll see them fidget a little when they hear that tidbit.

People look at the price, but mayn’t count the c~~~s. Case in point: her lawyer $20,000,  steno&judge and unknowns? $80k?  But, count the c~~~: $500,000 +$100,000 = 6 to 1.  A 300 billion dollar slaughterhouse, IMO.   [[arms dealers and self proclaimed(80%) enemy).   Talisman62 said,”saw it when it came out a year ago. "It seems like there's times a body gets struck down so low, there ain't a power on earth that can ever bring him up again. Seems like something inside dies so he don't even want to get up again. But he does."

I have been through the hell of divorce, with a lovely 6 figure legal bill/scar.  My ex had a bozo the clown, femini-nazi, lesbian, dike schyster that put forth some ridiculous initial demands such as lifetime alimony and half of everything, for a short marriage and no kids.  The funny thing is that we could have switched s~~~ head attorneys and ended in the same result with the same unreasonable demands.  The only people who come out of divorce happy are the lawyers; they are vultures that try to get their pound of flesh.  Always remember that they will be your friend as long as you pay or have assets they can put a lien against.  Prenupts are worthless, lawyers look for every angle to crack them, so long as they can bill either party. Here is an important fact, lawyers say at least once a day to a perspective client “I all my years in practicing law I have never seen a case as bad as this, where you have been so badly wronged and the offending party is so bad.”  The message loses its meaning until you the dollar signs.

Half of all marriages fail.  You have better odds with Russian roulette.  If you think you are special and this won’t happen to you, than you are a fool.  Take it from me.
