I’m p~~~ed and just need to vent right now. I was advised by the authority in charge of managing CS that some of my CS payments were disallowed based on a technicality. So, I’m essentially having to double-up on an amount of $800 that was due on my account with said authority. This is not helping me mitigate the effects of RP rage. And I even had Stealthy’s great ‘how to be THE landlord’ post to consider this morning. Still, I’m like p~~~ed at this news. I was on the phone with the agent, well guess what, nothing doing. I was basically told to suck it up. CRAP!

What The F~~~ does that even mean?? Disallowed what?
You paid and… where the f~~~ did the money go? Why should you pay twice the same payment?
This whole thing doesn’t make any sense. Can you explain?
    Thanks.

And then they act all shocked when a guy at the end of his rope blows their f~~~ing brains out. That’s his way of sucking it up.

    everyone STAY CALM !!!
this has to be looked at .
    disallowed..?
    why?
    you need to find out.
i get letters from the state telling me my C.S. is overdue.
i called almost freaking out on the first letter,
and i was told that the system tracks the financial transaction in a way,
that may LOOK like it’s late…
because a day may have passed between $ from me to her account.
    SAVE all paychecks,
have automatic withdrawal ..electronic transfer .
appeal this on grounds of hardship if need be,
    you won’t win OF COURSE,
but they may make a payment plan …
    .
    better than JAIL.
    stay calm and proceed.

This was not an accident on the part of the state agency that is in charge of collecting and transferring the funds to the mother.

They did it on purpose and are intentionally f~~~ing PONR’s colon with a crowbar:

Because they want him to snap & go nuts. And have it result in him hurting his ex after a meltdown.

Which advances their agenda of attempting to convince the world that men are violent and crazy. And it builds a platform for them to get more DV laws passed and assume more control of men, financial, psychologically and legally.

They want him to crack and snap.

It is important that PONR sees this for what it really is, stay calm & focused and not fall for the trap.

That’s bulls~~~. I get so tired of seeing this type of focused abuse. I bet 90% of the people on the other end of these calls are weemins who truly enjoy the deflect, delay, ignorance game. Damn

I agree with Sky-O they are trying to make you a number. They want to bond over blind siding you and hoping you melt the f~~~ down and die. But as Gargamel said in previous thread (i’m paraphrasing here) ” but their criticism and actions towards you are a window in THEIR head, NOT yours. You are NOT crazy, well, maybe. And THEIR actions show THEY are the pieces of S~~~. Do not let this obvious tactic rage you out. Calmly get to the bottom of it. NFG.

um that’s f~~~ed up. I dont even see how that can be legal? I would take this up the chain, talk to the supervisor, all the way on up to the director of the department if there’s no resolution. Possibly see if the media would take up your story. Sometimes public outcry is the only way to get something resolved. Chances are, you aren’t the first man they’re screwing over with this.

If the funds transferred from you to her, whether its in cash, direct withdrawal, check, whatever, as long as the funds settled in her account, you paid her monthly child support payment. It’s not a gift, loan or any other BS technicality that would disallow it from being the payment no matter what the agency is saying..

You should escalate this, they’re basically stealing money from you.

I had made a couple of payments before the due date (I know, I know…) for my own reasons. And seeing that a portion of the balance due was due directly to the human parasite, it got categorised as a gifting. I spent over an hour discussing with the agent and the supervisor of the intermediary agency to no avail. I explained that although dated before the due dates the cheques were intended to offset a debt accumulated as of the due date. They even had the labels ‘Child Support’ on them. Nothing doing once again. So now I have to litigate if I want a chance at ever seeing that money again. It’s now with the lawyer. We’ll see what happens.

That’s bullcrap. I would take that up the management chain and threaten to make the incident known to media and local politicians.

There are two big problems with this practice. First is that in any other payment situation, whether it be a loan payment or utility bill of some sort, you are allowed to make early payments. The payments will either be refunded to you or credited to your account. Hell, even income taxes are refunded to you if you overpay.

Second, if it was your intention to give a gift, why they hell would you do it through the state? Why wouldn’t you just pay directly? I suppose if you want a legal record of the gift, that would be the way to do it…but that would be so rare that the logical thing to do would require that the payment be formally declared as a gift. Even then, unless there are tax implications, the gift should be a credit to your account, allowing you to skip a payment if the need arises.

Personally, I have my wages garnished. If that’s a possibility for you, I recommend it. This way, I do not have to manually make payments. If there are issues, it’s between my company and the state….or the state and my ex. And I’ve adapted to it so that I do not feel a hit every paycheck from it. It’s somewhat forgotten.

Possibly another thing as well, it’s creates a separate from myself and my ex. I don’t she thinks of the money as coming from me, so she doesn’t look at my spending habits and thinks about asking for more money. MY ex also had a son with another father, and the payment process is not formal through the state. He has opened himself up to her asking for more money when she needs it, while I am more immune. Perhaps that is more my personality though, as she he knows Dad #1 can be manipulated, while I she knows I will require legal documents for any deviation from divorce decree.

    Ok. Then do it.

That’s one of the most ridiculous things I’ve ever heard…

So if you send in a payment to your mortgage company, credit card company, association, utility, whoever early, they’re allowed to assume that it’s a gift to them instead of an actual payment on your account? Especially if you noted on the payment it was to go towards your account?

Say you prepaid the child support payments for the child for the entire 18 years in 1 payment, the agency and the mother should be happy that you paid the balance up front, and they don’t have to worry about you not making payment. It doesn’t mean you gifted the entire amount to the mother. I would be livid if I were in that situation.
