You say "love is a temple, love the higher law" ...You ask me to enter, but then you make me crawl. And I can't be holding on to what you got, when all you got is hurt
OH MY LORD!
“Work Wife” now?!!
Please don’t tell me it’s real. Please tell me it’s just Dilbert and not a real thing out there in Cubicleland… Next thing we know there’ll be Work Wife Divorce and Alimony to be paid for real!Don't let them Blame, Shame or Tame you!
Give 'em NOTHING, not even an answer!
#GenderSegragationNow!I have seen this at my own job and thought they were weirdos. But maybe its more widespread than I realized if its in a comic.
This dude i worked with would hang out with some woman from another area every lunch and break period. If she was ready for break before him she would come to our area and stand around waiting for him and be generally annoying. I asked her why she was always waiting for him and she said hes her “Fab Daddy”. Factories are called fabs where I worked. It was weird and I didnt ask them any more questions. They were both married by the way.
Double the alimony this dumb bastard is going to be paying big.
A MGTOW is a man who is not a woman's bitch!
Dilbert’s definition of wife – someone who criticises you and makes you do s~~~ jobs like find her keys (pick up after her, slave for her, be exclusive etc) is spot on.

The tags on the original strip are very revealing:

…holy s~~~.
"We didn't start the fire. It was always burning. Since the world's been turning" "A world that vilifies men only breeds a generation of men that feel no empathy towards women" “In a woman’s mind , there is really no such thing as a ‘we’. In her eyes, earth allways revolves around her, not the other way around. So thinking that your needs , aspirations or desires are valid enough to be persued, or even that you are entitled achive such goals, is like asking your boss for a pay rise in your very first day at the job.”
I honestly didn’t give a s~~~ about Scott Adams until he started rustling feminist jimmies.
MGTOW: because you can (and should) say anything about a woman as long as she isn't within earshot

Please tell me it’s just Dilbert and not a real thing out there in Cubicleland… Next thing we know there’ll be Work Wife Divorce and Alimony to be paid for real!Yes, and when you are married they are a very sore subject… I never considered them more than acquaintances I flirt with at work, bs with, complain with, etc… usually just hotter than my wife women who I spend time with at work, and build friendships with… and they make the wife jealous as hell.
They can be fun to practice spinning, even though it isn’t true ‘spinning’ but essentially a safe practice zone as long as you don’t cross the line to get called for harassment. And daily I spent more time with them then with my wife. yet, now that my eyes are opening, I see how it all plays into their game and I’m the one being played…
No longer can we walk away, we must run. Remove the motive power.
Snap I’m laughing so hard because something like this happened to me and the light didn’t come til just now. I took a job in 08 and worked for a woman who was fair and professional; I had no issue with her. A female coworker was a bat s~~~ crazy “work wife” and gave me all kinds of grief. She watched my breaks and projects and always had something to say. One day I nicely told her she wasn’t my boss and she need to mind her own business, so of course I called out by the boss on it cause this bitch went ballistic. Here is where it is funny to me because I basically played a work-wife card not realizing it till now. “I work for you(boss) and if I listened to her I would be (cheating) on you”. I didn’t use the word cheating but it was who owns who in the twist I put on it. This is important because it meant difference between being told to get along with the bitch vs boss telling her to leave me alone.
If you rescue a damsel in distress, all you will get is a distressed damsel.
