Whenever a woman tries to shame you with “You’re going to die lonely and alone, and nobody is going to come to your funeral!” show them this. This old homeless man didn’t even have a house to his name, but when he died, they found out he was a veteran and hundreds of people who never knew him showed up.

Just goes to show that if you are a good man, one who takes care of himself and those he cares about and does the right thing and treats all fairly, you will be remembered and celebrated.

My grandfather was married right up until the day he died, he had 2 children and 2 grandchildren. He became sick late in life and my grandmother, mother and uncle put him in a nursing home.

He died alone in the dead of night in that place only 10 minutes drive from his life long home.

He was married with kids and died alone.

You have to realize it’s no more than a pathetic scare tactic. Just like when the church tells you “if you don’t embrace jesus, you are going straight to hell and will burn for all eternity”. Same kind of bulls~~~. So you tell her……

“Honey, don’t be a f~~~ing idiot. Women outlive men by 8 years. So even if I were to marry your sorry fat ass…… it’s a goddam guarantee that YOU will be the one who is more likely to “die alone”.”

When delivered properly, she will start crying in 3…….. 2…….. 1……. because women are TERRIFIED of it. That’s why they use it so often against you. To her, “dying alone” is devastating and a most terrifying thought. You should be afraid of that because she is. And since “not dying alone” is the best sales pitch she’s got, then that should tell you everything.

My completely rational and pragmatic answer would be like:

“Well you know, the very process of dying alone (by a natural cause) is and always has been an inevitably private one as opposed to being murdered by someone else undertaken in whichever overt or covert way hence I’d rather naturally die in peace…”

My thoughts on this article:

Some chick blasts out on social media that this humble man dies alone on xmas eve so SHE feels important. (This was not for him at all, it just made a nice story for HER to get credit for spreading)

People show up to the funeral to feel better about THEMSELVES for doing something they see as unselfish around the holidays (either to blab in the future about how they are SO respectful that they went to a strangers funeral, or perhaps to ease the guilt over neglecting their own aging families)

Nobody helped this man when he really needed it.

The only thing that would worry me would be my if body was left undiscovered for 10-20 years. But my plan is to buy a retirement flat when i’m an old fart so that should solve that problem. There’s now way i’m spending a life sentence chained to a nagging wife just so she gets to sort out my crappy funeral, most of them can’t even fix a sammich.
