My hopefully at some time to be my ex wife is going to be deposed tomorrow. She wants to go to court rather than settle because her attorney cousin told her she would get more money that way. Court date is during first week of November.

She has dished lots of dirt in the many filings, some real and some imagined. Still living in the residence and am able to avoid her most times. I work two jobs so I usually leave in the morning before she gets up. At night she is in bed when I get home. If I do see her she either ignores me and won’t speak or starts insulting me. I spend weekends elsewhere.

This morning she was hanging around in the kitchen when it was time for me to leave for work. I told her good morning when I walked in the room. She replied “Good morning, sweetheart.” I thought she had slipped into an old term without thinking, so said nothing. Got my lunch and tea together to leave and told her “See you later”. She replied “See you, sweetheart”. I asked her “Why did you just call me sweetheart”. She replied “Why not”. I told her it was just unusual is all.

I am concerned she has hatched some devious plot and will spring something new on me tomorrow.

Any thoughts about the sudden change?

umm what ever possible gain she would get will be eaten up by the attorney fees. what a moron. she could end up with less. judges are sometimes really arbitrary.

she is being nice to you and getting ready to stab you. my c~~~ was the same way. she thinks she is going to pull something over on you. I’m guessing there will be a lie told, like I went to the doctor and I have a chronic condition requiring an expensive medication and treatment. We have a camera system that covers all of the house except for the bedrooms. I do not interact with her unless I am in an area that is being recorded. Even then I keep my distance so she cannot be touched without her taking several steps toward me. It does video but not audio. Only another month of this I hope.

I have another place lined out to live but my attorney says it is to my advantage to keep my residence in the marital residence.

The one phone call, or the “Bobbitt” treatment. I would suggest sleeping with one eye open.

When things have been cold and calculating with her demeanor towards you and then she gives, what sounds like endearment, she is mocking the situation. She has arrogance in the knowledge of something.

In the south, there is an expression “bless your heart”, and it is not meant as a compliment. It is said when someone thinks themselves superior in some respect. This sounds eerily similar to your situation.

I put a lock on my bedroom door to keep her out when I am home and snooping in it when I am not. I live in the mid-south so I understand the “bless your heart” saying. I agree that your assessment is accurate, it seemed really strange to me based on her recent history of being a total bitch.

Working on the NFG given attitude but can’t be that way if in jail. Will see what happens tomorrow, maybe it is time to move out. Meeting with my attorney prior to the deposition and will discuss my options with him.

If you move out it will be seen as abandonment. She would now have leverage rights to the property and anything within or on it.

I would highly recommend a consultation with your attorney a.s.a.p. before making any decision.

Document! Document! Document! Everything; her actions, words, and your possessions.

Limit contact and conversation as much as possible. Give her no ammo to use against you.

DO NOT lose your level head for any reason. She will try to goad you into a response. DO NOT fall for any of it.

Bite your tongue and don’t clinch your fists. Be patient, for things will get better, but prepare for a temporary world of s~~~ in the meantime.

You need to be able to deadbolt your bedroom. And also search it for stuff she may have planted in there if she is planning to fake a phone call to the cops. Always keep that room locked if you are not in it.
