Defending against DDOS attacks

I went to a blog that I regularly read and noticed that I was being put through a filter before being granted access to the site.
I noted that this was part of a third-party DDOS protection service.

I went to check out the website offering the service and this is what I found:

https://www.cloudflare.com/ddos/

I have no idea about such things, but perhaps some members of the forum could investigate it and see if it’s worthwhile going down that path. I’d be happy to contribute towards such a service if it does indeed do what it claims to be able to do.

I think most of us would be willing to pitch in because we know how friendly and supportive members and the creators of this website are. However, provided there are still a lot men out there who would be finding out about the site in near future, a paid membership may act as deterrent to new members joining.

Just my thought. Otherwise I am happy to help in my capacity. It sure would be a welcome change to not have c~~~s attack us every other week.

I agree. KeyMaster, could there be an inner chamber for paid members? Would definitely allow for filtering out a lot of c~~~s.

Not ignoring you. Read it right away. Thank you for your well-meaning intentions. This is something for the private forum so let us finish adding those members. The complication with that is making sure threads and replies don’t appear visible / or readable anywhere else so we have to place restrictions about. Silent for a reason. Thank you.
