I saw this one movie with the late Gene Wilder and the late Richard Pryor “See No Evil; Hear No Evil” about a deaf guy and a blind guy who witness a murder, and are on the run from the cops after escaping. The two of them work together considering their disability to solve the murder mystery.

Now it has me thinking, and this was on the former IMDb board, if you had to live with a condition blind or deaf; which would you rather live with?

I would rather be deaf, because even though I can’t listen to my iPod or hold verbal conversations anymore, I think it would be much harder to function with no vision. I tried to walk around with my eyes tightly shut, and I felt lost very fast. Imagine living where the whole world is pitch black.

I’d choose blindness. I could still play guitar by ear, and if I wanted to know what a woman looks like, I’d have to feel her with my hands.

I am already legally blind(significantly vision impaired) but the idea of being as totally blind as many of my co-workers would suck way more as it far more seriously limits your independence.

Basically it is easier to stay fully MGTOW deaf than blind.

Can I offer the gods of MGTOW one eye and one ear? Can I interest them in a finger, or better yet, a toe! How about an appendix? I don’t need that!

Offer me to make women mute and I will think about it.

There is no magic in MGTOW, just recognition of the truth and logical decision how to avoid dangers. The red pill is but the truth, it is no magical potion. Do not think in this modern world men have no longer have natural enemies, men are prey to women and government.

    HI, MEN…

When I was in grade school, I saw a movie about Helen Keller. If you remember, she was both deaf and blind. She said her preference would be to be only blind, she would value her sense of hearing more so.

Regarding vision, I am very nearsighted which is corrected. My hearing is very good.
5% of men do not have very good color vision but can still see color. A very small minority only see black white and gray, and no colors.
In my case the very pastel colors are confusing to me– Colors like beige, pink, gray, tan, magenta, etc. all look the same
This can affect many men Who work in electronics with components that are color-coded.

Here’s the good news! By wearing a very dark red contact lens in one eye, 80 to 90% of the color vision problem that I described in myself is corrected!

My guess is that poor color vision has survived in 5% of the men, because it does help in derecting camouflaged predators, enemies, and game food in hunting party.

This is inherited from the man’s maternal grandfather. My mom’s dad could not tell the difference between blue and purple and gray. She however, as it is in all cases for the daughter/mother was not colorblind

How many of you men experience color vision problems? I wonder if it would be 5% of you?

    @ ResidentEvil7: Interesting topic.

And in fact I already reflected about this very question numerous times and very quickly came to pretty much the same conclusion as joetech regarding my preferred choice also because a) I love music too much to ever be able to live completely without it and b) my eyes wouldn’t be able to fool me no more with regards to women’s use of fake up, plastic surgery, pushup bras etc etc…

I'd rather die a natual death with a clear MGTOW conscience somewhere off the grid than one within "modern" civilisation with a big stress mark on my forehead and a couple of dozen tubes plugged into my body. Back to the plantation..? Me..? Hey, literally: I won't ever fucking kid myself...YZERLMNTSIC

My initial response would be to say deaf but I don’t know if I can handle not hearing my own voice which in turn could render me mute since it would be difficult for me develop speaking skills. This in my own opinion, would render me as merely an observer in a world where I would like the opportunity to take action in. On the plus side I wouldn’t be able to hear females chirping in my ear which would be a great.

Being blind would be a great impairment at first but I would be interested to find out how well my other senses would improve as a response to being blind such as mental awareness, muscle memory & etc.

I might lean more to being blind.
