In a hypothetical scenario, if I were to date a single mom, I would have kept on asking her about her previous relationship as much as possible. If I was in a restaurant, I would have ordered only after reaching some conclusion.

A dinner at Henry’s mother’s house with Betty and her brood turns into a flop when the kids act up. As Betty takes them into another room, Henry’s mother looks at him and asks:

Why indeed.

There are reasons she’s a single mother and those reasons should warn any man to stay away.

No matter how you do the statistics, single mother households will rely on government aid, and your tax dollars. Women cannot cut it when it comes to providing for a family. It is proven, even by women. They tried to prove it wasn’t so bad, and was able to lower the percentage by less than 1, making it look even worse, lowering the percentage of poverty of all other categories by even more. Women are not so good at understanding how math works.

I remember seeing that quote women like to throw around about “if you can’t handle me at my worst, you don’t deserve me at my best”. And I remember thinking that my response to that would be, “the only man who ever got your best was the first one. After him, you can no longer offer your ‘best’ to anyone…”.

She uses the term ‘real date’ the same way most women use the term ‘real man’. She describes a ‘real date’ as one where she gets dinner (free… because vagina) and some chit chat (attention… also unearned) from a man. As with the term ‘real man’, a ‘real date’ is one where her needs are specified and served. She does not mention what a man gets from this ‘real date’, except to specify that he’s not getting sex.

So, I would respond to her that she no longer has virginity to offer, so I can’t expect loyalty. And she no longer has children to offer me, because the child she has already proves that she will demand, and get, ownership of any children that result from my interaction with her. I will only get the bill for them. And she makes it clear that I cannot expect sex from her. So in exchange for the time, money and attention I spend in order to create the ‘real date’ she wants, and be the ‘real man’ she wants, I get exactly what?

I get to bask in the glow of all her wit, charm and personality. My experience with any single mother is that when I try to have a conversation with her, the wit, charm and personality that gets to the table is brought there by me. And the subject she knows the most about… the one she is most able to converse about… is HER child.

The reason dating is hard for single mothers is that they are trying to sell toxic waste. And rather than go door to door looking for a sucker to pay them for it, they are sitting in their toxic waste dumps and waiting for a man to come to her door looking to buy some…

When a man and a woman divorce the children don’t divorce. They still love both parents the same as when they lived together.

When you look at it this way, it is clear that getting involved with a woman who has a child with a man is home wrecking. You are putting yourself in the middle of a very stressful marital situation where mom and dad don’t live together.
