OkCupid CMO Says Its ‘DTF’ Campaign Boosted Buzz 50%, But Isn’t Welcome Everywhere

OK Gents.. This is just getting downright pathetic. Apparently, this ad campaign for DTFix dating (Dating deserves better) has been around since LAST YEAR… I’d never seen it before until this morning when it was PLASTERED all over the New York Subway. I mean in just about every stop and everything train car. And of course, the ads were “praised by women” but they’re just stupid and everything about them is a joke. There’s even one that says “DTFinish my novel” where a man is laying on his back while a woman uses his outstretched arms and hands as chair while she’s working on her laptop…

I mean how much worse can gynocentric culture get?? Wait… Dont answer that…

It actually say it’s pretty good marketing. The phrase is going to make people think about f~~~ing, no matter what and sex sells. Even if you don’t know the phrase, there’s a good chance you’ll look it up or ask a friend, and start thinking about f~~~ing. But OKC can claim they are trying to sell the ‘good stuff’ about relationships. It a nice message with a subliminal message about f~~~ing that really is the reason people are going to gravitate towards the site.

If it’s not working it’s either because they aren’t making it public enough, or they are overplaying the woke aspect that no one believe they are remotely genuine.

    Ok. Then do it.

It is unfortunate that advertising sales are private. It would likely be enlightening to learn whom pays for all these blue pill ads because giving many of these companies are operating in the red, it is certainly not these companies paying for these ads.

I get the marketing and It is clever. I just think it reeks of desperation. And its obviously geared for the female mind. Im guessing since Tindr took so much of the dating market share and women were just getting pumped and dumped, someone is trying to bring back the “romance” to dating. Hence the tag line…

“Deserving better” is just a direct appeal to womens’ hamster-hypergamy.
Strange/funny that every dating service under the sun is targeting the female market, as if men didn’t even exist.
But then again, maybe they’re on to something. Men don’t need women. It’s women who need men, and these services are tapping into that for a profit.
Likely a profit generated by a woman’s ex-husband. Just as marketers know: men make money, women spend money.
Consumer culture targets the sense of entitlement that is natural to FEMALES for this reason.

There was a startup girls’ clothing company a few years ago called “Daddy’s Money.” Everyone was like, yeah! It makes sense.

Another thing about marketing is being on the cutting edge of perceived trends.
That’s all the Gillette company was trying to do with their commercial, and that’s all OkC is doing with this one. It’s all about being perceived as cool.
    The current trends are misandrist.
Even if real life is quite different.
