Driving into town today to get some clothes for my daughter in between towns their is a 10 mile dead spot where I can pick up only one radio station which is a country station…im not a fan of country music but I listen Bc it’s better than listening to the insane road noise from a very wore out highway and after a few songs I have to turn it off…every song consist of some guy claiming his undying love for some female and how he sorry for doing her wrong!!! Just makes me want to puke…then any song by a female artist consist of how her man did her wrong and how were all cheaters and she just wants to find a good man or about how she a strong woman who just loves to much!!! Damn near puked in my coffee cup!!! Any thoughts?

Country is overburdened with weeping crybabies these days. I wonder if it ever was different? Probably not, based on the rock and roll oldies I’ve heard.

It’s true, Singledad984, out of all the music genres Country Music is the sickest mengina s~~~ I ever heard.
The guys sing about being stuck on pussy and not being able to go a few hours without giving all their money and soul to some ungrateful bitch who would never be able to know how to love a man and the hoes all sing the same thing: men bad, women victimized.
That’s why I like Funk. It’s way less retarded than Country.

It’s not that women buy much more music than men.

    http://www.billboard.com/biz/articles/1560117/business-matters-nielsen-study-examines-who-is-buying-music-media

The purchasing amounts of music are said to be similar between the sexes in this article.

Therefore it must be a reflection of our current culture. Men bad woman good. Both men and women buy into this trope. It gives men the licence to f~~~ around as it is expected. It gives licence to women to be permanently p~~~ed off at men which is just justification of their hate of men which is an innate part of female psychology.

I’ve even heard this in quotes on the internet of Hitlary supporters that openly proclaim that women, by virtue of having a vagina are better negotiators than men. The implication is that the president should always be a woman as they are biologically different than men and are better at somethings than men, again as proven by the presence of a vagina between their legs.

I contend Country Music was not always as “sissified” as it is today. I cut my teeth on the Outlaws like Waylon Jennings (my avatar), Johnny Cash, Willie Nelson and Kris Kristofferson. I’ve always preferred southern rock style country. That’s just me. And I don’t condemn anyone who doesn’t like that style. Of course, I’ve always been a fan of Lynyrd Skynrd.

Today’s “pop country” is complete, mangina bulls~~~. It’s all about what the Nashville establishment wants and of course, I’m generalizing here. Dudes running around in skinny jeans with girly haircuts and makeup on. I’ll pass.

Go listen to Cocaine Blues by Johnny Cash, or T for Texas by Waylon and you’ll hear a stark contrast from what is marketed as “country” today. Waylon was always my favorite artist. He was blacklisted from Nashville for many years and never was a favorite son. Yeh, he had some tear-jerking songs but he also wrote a number of songs putting bitches in their place. I’m sure that resulted in a lot of scorn from the “movers and shakers” in the industry.

There is a segment of country music that seems to be more about partying then anything else. I don’t know if that’s magina or just neutral. I personal don’t care for it too much as it just comes off as cheap and lowest common denominator stuff.

As far as a reflection of culture, I contend that men are just less confrontational when it comes to media, and just glaze over stuff. Where as women will throw a tantrum if you suggest she isn’t a princess. In short, it is better business to slant towards women then men.

    Ok. Then do it.

Good point, Tiredoftbs. Although I don’t like to think of Lynyrd Skynyrd as country music but as Rock-Bluegrass (even if it isn’t)
I guess the OP might’ve narrowed the style in the genre because it’s true that the singers you mentioned aren’t to be ignored for their contribution to it and are each great artists.
It’s just that every time a country song comes on all we hear is how the guys f~~~ up and aren’t worth the efforts and how the weemins are these poor, weak, lost souls in search of a hero who’ll never come ( he went mgtow, btw ).

I hear ya and we basically agree. Sorry about the confusion on Skynyrd. My typing sucks and I meant to say I also like Southern Rock. Skynyrd was never considered country. And if one tunes in to a “Country” station today, it’s just as you described. I’m able to stomach Erich Church and Brantley Gilbert, along with Whitey Morgan and Chris Stapleton, but they are not mainstream at this point. And even they will throw out songs that make men out to be hopeless drunks and women out to be female deities. I pick and choose carefully what I listen to these days and it’s rare to find any “country” music that is worth listening to. Hence, I listen to the old stuff.

There was a time in years past that country music treated men like men and not groveling “frat boys” chasing some fat bitch’s heart. Those days are long gone. I think it died with Johnny and Waylon.

From my observation, the whole radio scene is flooded with mangina pussy juice.

I could go in my car right now, turn on the radio and channel surf through every single station. I guarantee that at least 70% of the songs will be about relation shifts.

The radio is paleolithic at best. It is time to ditch it and transition over to a personal playlist or individualized stations like Pandrora radio/Spotify. It is worth it to pay 5 bucks a month to cleanse your ears of advertisements. Plus, you won’t have to deal with mangina music as often.

I’m a big fan of old C&W (I’m British but it was big here too, and I grew up around the music) I agree that most male country songs are whining about some woman that they will do anything for. A lot address adult issues rather than teenage/young people issues, which makes it an interesting genre, though the modern stuff isn’t for me. I love the classic country ladies too.

But then since hair metal died and excluding hip-hop – two genres that women often really like because of the arrogant ‘f~~~ you bitches I’m awesome and wanna f~~~ you anyway’ attitude – almost all men in rock sing the same AFC crap. Meanwhile name me a woman singing how much she loves her man as opposed to how Strong & Independent she is. Country did have its share of tougher guys like Johnny Cash, Merle Haggard, Jerry Reed, Dwight Yoakam, and Waylon Jenning, even lee Hazlewood, and I love those guys.

As a huge Elvis Presley fan I’ll mention he dabbled in country and sang a ton of songs from the POV of a desperate lovelorn chump. His appeal to women was partly that he clearly didn’t really think like that in real life.

Not really a fan of country for this exact reason. There was one song about a man talking about how if he didn’t marry his wife, he’d be better at pool, golf, and bass guitar, but he’s happy that he’s with her instead because of some vague higher purpose. So yeah, ultimate mangina bulls~~~. The strutting around trying to act like macho men and then actually being total f~~~ing simp manginas.

Well, there’s those douchey pretty boy bands and Justin Bieber type of bulls~~~, where every f~~~ing song is about love and is as unsubstantial as a pack of chips.

And need I say that the new “women” of country have all but completely polluted what is left of country music. The majority of so called “women country artists” are a bunch of feminist bitches singing songs about putting their “man” on fire, cheating on him, leaving him, making him grovel, all the while pretending their s~~~ don’t stink. Sure thing, whatever.

Yes, country has come a long way since Tammy Wynette’s great hit “Stand by your man”.

I’ll stick with old Waylon who said in the song, T for Texas, “I’d rather drink muddy water and sleep all night in a hollow log, than to hang around Atlanta, be put down and treated like a dirty dog”. He was referring to the bitch that he was getting the hell away from in the song.

Masculinity is completely absent in mainstream music.

As far as country goes I’ll stick with guys like Marty Robbins.

The Children of Doom... Doom's Children. They told my lord the way to the Mountain of Power. They told him to throw down his sword and return to the Earth... Ha! Time enough for the Earth in the grave.

I grew up listening to country music. I gotta say, that modern country is complete mangina music. Every f~~~ing song singed by a man is about him obsessing over women in some form or another. (With very few exceptions)

Most older country singers like Johnny Cash had a way better style. I also like artists such as Lynyrd Skynyrd. I also wish more country music especially modern country music had a faster beat like bluegrass.
