Right now I don’t have the setup or extra money that would let me get a porper LaZBoy so I’m taking a half measure and trying to game from my couch.

So far in my research I haven’t come up with a good solution for keyboard and mouse for couch use. I found this site http://www.nerdytec.com/COUCHMASTER/ but the products appear to be expensive for what they provide.

Currently I’m prototyping solutions with a spare Ikea shelf propped up on pillows but that still doesn’t lead to a comfortable position for “long haul” gaming sessions. My problem is its hard to maintain a reclining position while keeping my hands properly placed for keyboard and mouse use and keeping pressure off of my wrists/forearms.

Does anyone have a good setup or know of one?

I have seen these tables with only TWO legs. They are often made of metal and are like a small 4 legged table on its side. Like shown below…. but with a top twice as long – going across your lap. You would put it next to your recliner and push it in and out so it goes directly under your chair (with the base under your ass and the top over your lap). I had my father make me one years ago. It puts a working surface directly in front of you. No “reaching” required. You can lay back and use it.

If you keep doing what you've always done... you're gonna keep getting what you always got.

Thats a good idea, don’t think it will fit my current setup but I can adapt something like that until I save up for my dream home theater.
